canada immigration family sponsorship help

Good Day Sir/ Maam!

I would like to ask a few tips about the sponsorship under Family Class.

My Aunt is a permanent resident and a Canadian citizen in Ontario Canada. She offered to sponsor me, but unfortunately she was denied for sponsorship. She advised me to continue on the application, and I was wondering if you could share some tips so as I may be granted this application and a visa.

I am her niece, and I will turn 22 years old in a month. I am single, and was never married. I finished BSN last March 2009, Registered Nurse by June 2009.

Will I be granted points if I am fluent in French? For I do not speak French, I am only fluent in English both verbal and written.

Also, may I ask if I will also be granted points if I take the IELTS exam and include it in my application? Though it wasn't actually required in the sponsorship kit requirements.

Do all of my documents need to be authenticated in the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the one with the 'Red Ribbon'? It wasn't exactly stated, though originals must be submitted.

I would greatly appreciate your help, Sir/Maam. I am at lost and is really looking for some help and advice.

Thank you very much!

I hope to hear from you, Sir/Maam.

Bit confused if she was denied sponsorship how can you still proceed with your application?

You need to be fluent in either English or French so as long as you pass IELTS you don't need French unless you are going to Quebec

How can you continue with the application is she was denied? You would have to start again with just a plain immigration application wouldn't you?

hi. i would like to ask if i could apply for a permanent residence for my self first then apply for my wife and my daughter once settled in canada? its really hard to put up the money, thats why i was thinking of going there alone first, then try to save ofr the application of my family? thanks

If I recall correctly, Family Class is for immediate family. My parents tried to sponsor their nephew and were turned down as he wasn't a "close enough" relative. Pretty sure that Family Class is for spouse, minor children, and aged parent.

The OP is going to have to apply as an independent adult.

i looked at this and nephew and niece is included in family class however they need to be orphaned and under 18 and unmarried

brothers or sisters, nephews or nieces, granddaughters or grandsons who are orphaned, under 18 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship

sponsoring your family: eligible relatives - who can apply

this being the case i can not see how you can proceed with your application as you obviously do not meet requirements and your aunt has been refused as a sponsor

I think you can do it however may be worth checking with someone with immigration experience . Make sure however that you include your family on your application
