Show us what you got and we'll compare.

Desire / Have x Quantity = Dose you should give.

Dose needed/desired

0.2 tsp = 1mg = 1000 mcg

Have

75 mcg

Quantity

1 ml

Desire / Have x Quantity = Dose you should give.

1000 mcg / 75 mcg x 1 mL = 13.3 mL

I couldn't figure it out bc I know the conversion for tsp is 5ml = 1 tsp and that cancels the tsp and that 1mg=1000mcg but i couldn't figure out how to cancel the mg to get the answer in mls...the answer is 1ml...but how is the set up?

0.2tsp/X mL = 1tsp/5 mL............X = 1mL

There's no mention of mg in the problem. If you give 0.2tsp, the dose you're giving is 75mcg.

I came up with the same answer u did 75 mcg but it was marked wrong and the answer that was given was 1 ml...I wanted to see how someone other than me solved the problem....thanks...I will consult the instructor

Well, yeah, the answer is 1ml because that's what the question is asking for. If you wrote '75mcg', that would be wrong b/c the question asks 'how many mL's would you give?'

0.2 tsp = 1 mL

The weight doesn't matter (extraneous info), as the order is for THAT volume.

Exactly. Read what the question is asking for. Remember that there will often be answers with incorrect labels that can be easily ruled out if you make sure you know what units you are going to be finding.
