Hi everyone!
I am currently working in Hawaii and started wondering if I can have one more job under current TN visa. ....Hawaii is pretty expensive!! Is it allowed to work somewhere else under one TN visa? I will appreciate anybody's advice!

You can have more than one job BUT all of your employers must be listed on that visa, and you must be working in a nurse capacity.

Mark beat me to the answer...................
For any of you out there wondering about the TN Visa. It is actually called the NAFTA TN Visa, and is available only to Canadian and Mexican passport holders, legal residents are not included under this. The NAFTA Free Trade Agreement was set up between the US, Mexico, and Canada.
With this particular type of visa, the nurse can get the TN Visa issued at the border by just providing the Visa Screen Certificate, as well as a letter of employment from their employer. They do not need to go thru the immigration process for the green card, unless they desire to get one of those.
And the other restriction is that the nurse must be an RN, it is not available to LPNs or the equivalent.
Thank you all for quick replies!!
When I apply for another job, I will ask for a job offer letter to the employer . Do I have to cross the border in order to obtain the name of the employer under the current TN visa? Or do I receive another TN visa paper?
I still have more questions.
What would be responsibilities for the employer to support the TN visa? In short, are there any financial or other responsibilities which may stop supporting TN visa?
I am thinking of applying to a small clinic as a second job. This is a really small clinic and they have never supported TN/Green card before. I am just wondering if there are any difficulties to obtain TN visa from them.
Thank you for all your support! :roll
There is no support needed, only a letter from them.
