Q-Cards, I love my Q-cards, and study them with friends. That's my way. hope it helps

We are studying that exact same thing. It pretty complicated. What I do is research on the net the things that I do not understand. I don't have a magic trick to conquer this material. I read the book, I go back to A&P books to clarify what I do not understand, I make flash cards, I ask questions, i search the net. It's all very time consuming but it's too much to memorize so I realize that I have to understand how NSAIDs decrease inflammation etc. Sorry if i wasn't much help.

What helped a lot of people in my group was to get a nurses drug guide and find the information provided in it for the drugs being covered. It was more helpful than the text book we were using at the time..

good luck.

just got one!

When we had our final in Pharm...I suggested to the instructor that it be a timed OPEN BOOK test. My argument to her was simply this:

NO ONE can memorize all of it...but we DO NEED TO BE RESPONSIBLE for LOOKING it up and knowing how to FIND the info when needed, and fast! (Pharmacists, doctors, etc. are always looking up drugs right?)

So, she allowed class notes, TWO books, notecards. It was 100 questions and we had TWO HOURS to complete it. (My two books were my pharm book from class and a PDR)

If you knew at least half of them, it still gave you over an hour to find the others...

To prepare, I color coded the different classifications of drugs...made them easier to identify, etc.

I spent many, many hours memorizing... GOOD LUCK!

You can pass this class. Don't ever doubt your ablilty.

First things first.

Make up you own little sayings or rythms to go along with the drug.

If you have problems try nursing made incredibly easy.

You can do it!!!

Flashy

flash cards work best for me. easy to make & use.

also, for example if you're having problems with a&p, mnemonics works great for enhancing memory. i use this fail-proof system everytime & it always works. :)
