Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask a question regarding the TEAS. My school only allows to take the TEAS every 365 days if we would like to retest we have to go through remediation which is taking classes on the subjects I perform poorly. Anyhow, my question is can I still take the test before thoese 365 days and take it again by the 365 days? The way they only count the one after the 365 days or does it look bad if I take it earlier a couple time lets say. Reason, why am asking is because I forgot to ask at the information session. Hope someone has similar experiences. Thank you for your time

Took the exam 3 times and did not pass it. Does anyone have any study tips or prep books that they recommend.

You should contact them by email or phone. People forget to ask questions all the time in the information sessions. Just contact them and I am sure they will answer your question. But I wouldn't recommend taking the test like that until you know for sure about their rules.
Thank you, I actually called one of the schools and I was told it's okay if is within days before the 365 days, always best to be sure.
I recommend buying the teas secrets and the ati book. you should study for at least a month and in every subject watch videos and practice. for example for the math, break down all the topics and practice them. Watch videos on the things you do not understand. I spent the most time on science and math, I read both books and highlighted the key info. I would then go on youtube and search for a lecture by mandy parker. Her lectures are the exact slides my professor would use and she breaks down the info very well. Do not go too in detail to the point you get lost. When I studied for the teas I bought a notebook also and wrote notes, writing it helped me to memorize things. If your problem is that you get too nervous on the day of testing just make sure you relax. I also downloaded the ati teas pocket prep and would do those on my free time throughout the day. I only studied for 3 weeks with these techniques and passed with an 80.7 on my first try. Not a perfect score but it is passing for the university I got accepted in. What score do you have to get? depending on how high of a score you need will determine the amount of time you need to study. I also recommend this website they have a free study guide, I used the science section and read all of it.https://www.registerednursing.org/teas/.
Thank you so much ! I have the ATI Secret prep book but I kind of didn't find that helpful because I got too overwhelmed with how much information there was. But I found an even better book which is called Cracking The Nurse Entrance Exam. This book is similar to the ATI but tells you tips and tricks on how to remember certain information and also gives you mini practice questions. As far as what score I have to get, I'm not really sure because my community college has a ranking system. I believe it is the 60's but I got a 53. Math and Science is what I had trouble in the most also. But this time I scored a 65 in the Math and low in the Science. I always usually study a month or two in advance before taking the exam so I really don't have a problem with. Mandy Parker I've heard is good so I will give it a try! Thank you again for your tips.

OP- have you taken your science prerequisites yet? Perhaps the problem is you are studying for TEAS without having the level of understanding you need from having taken and passed the actual courses?
I've pretty much completed and passed all my science prerequisites

Hi everyone, I have 2 ATI Teas version 6 study books that i'm selling if anyone is interested. I have the big yellow Mometrix "ATI TEAS Secrets Study Guide" and the Trivium "ATI TEAS Practice test questions". I used both of these and studied for about 2 weeks and got an 80 my first attempt. The books are in great condition with very minimal (if any) writing in them. Please personal message me if you are interested!

If you are still having trouble, I have used the Smart Edition ATI Teas Full Study Guide. It was super helpful. In addition, when you purchase the book, it comes with 5 practice tests (in book and online), online flash cards, and they have video lessons as well! https://smarteditionmedia.com/pages/ati-teas-study-guide-manual-and-practice-test-prep

Did you get the same versions all those 3x? How many versions is there? I’ve heard people say they’ve gotten same versions more than ones. If so maybe focus on subjects that you don’t do as well on. What helped me was having finished all my prerequisites most especially the sciences. Bought ATI teas prep it’s pricy but helpful. I’ve also watched ALOT of YouTube videos, did a lot of practice test and bought mometrix and ATI Study book.
