Can I take all these classes in 1 semester??

Published

hey everyone, i was looking to get some advice on classes to take next semester. i'm planning on transferring to a school that does the lpn-> rn program. its the best option for me. i currently work full-time in a rehab unit and wanted to take the following classes next semester. let me know what you think, if you think its too much to take on while working full-time, if you think i should decrease my hours at work a bit, etc. i pretty much need to take these classes next semester, so i'll do whatever i have to do to get them done, but i'm just trying to get some feedback to see what you guys think is doable/not doable. thanks in advance! :)

eng composition

human growth & development

nursing math

intro to nursing

:)

Why not CLEP human growth & development? I took that one as a CLEP test and it wasn't too bad. Then you could focus on the other 3. (But yes, I think you could take all of those in one semester if you need to.)

Specializes in CNA/LPN.

Most definitely! My only advice is to make sure you have the ample amount of time allotted for them. Best of luck!

Specializes in Pediatric/Adolescent, Med-Surg.

That looks doable. Good luck.

If you manage your time well, you could definately take all those classes and do well.

It doesnt sound too bad. Since none of them are science courses with labs, you might see about taking them online if they are available there. That would give you more time to work with around your schedule.

Sounds possible. At one time, I had a similar course load, and was also working full time. I, personally did not do well, and my grades did suffer. If you are able to handle that much work (be really honest with yourself!) then totally go for it. I know I cant do it, but I know plenty of people who can, and can even make Dean's list with that kind of schedule. Good luck!

That's a similar load to what I had this semester. English was the most time consuming with essays and research papers, etc. But I did 3 out of the 4 classes online which helped a ton. Some weeks are worse than others, but I'm maintaining all A's. Good luck!

Specializes in none.

It looks doable to me :) Good luck!

You could definetly do it, Ever consider online classes? Maybe you could do the English online cause really you will end up writing papers on your computer so why not just take it online?....Just a thought. Right now I am taking 5 courses and 3 of them are online. It's been working for me!

I'm not sure if you have completed any other courses, but Human Growth and Development will most likely have Intro to Psychology as a prerequisite.
