Can I register microbiology as a non-matriculated student while taking a A&P2?

Published

I have personal reason to take microbiology in summer semester in another cc.

I currently live in NY and I am taking A&P2 right now.

I have read the other cc's requirement of microbiology, and its prerequisites are A&P1,2.

Thing is I have to register this class next week. But I am worried that the school might say I cannot take it because I haven't finished A&P2 yet. ( I will be done before the summer class starts though.)

Am I able to register micro for summer even tho I am taking A&P2 now?

Anybody has experiences?

Thank you.

You need to check with the registrar at the school where you wish to take the class. Only they can decide whether to permit you to take the class conditioned on passing your current A&P classes. Since you don't name the school none of us can advise you specifically.

Thank you for responding to me!

The school is Dutchess Community College in Ny.

You should check with your school but I believe you can....I did exactly that, I took A&P 2 Spring semester and then Micro over the summer. If you fail (which hopefully you don't) you'll get dropped.

I went to DCC too

I attend DCC! They will allow you to register for Microbiology if you are currently enrolled in A&P2 if you are a matriculated student. I'm not sure if they will allow it for non-matriculated students, though. I would definitely give the registrar's office a call, and they would be able to help you out with that.

Thanks, were you non-matriculated student?
