Can I have a kiss???

My somewhat confused pt last night asked me, "Will you give me a kiss?" lol To which I replied, "No, I won't give you a kiss!" He asked why and I said nurses don't kiss their pts. He can wait until his wife comes in the morning for a kiss.

I thought that he was completely confused at the time, but later in the morning he asked me why I wouldn't give him a kiss...he was totally with it at this time!

OMG.. I thought I was the only one who got this... was sitting a patient because she had a history of suicide tendencies. She was sleeping, and woke up.. asked who I was, I explained.. she started talking and wouldn't shut up.. then out of the blue came "Kiss me"... I said, Sorry, can't do that.... gave me the creeps for the rest of the shift... Was so glad I had a day off the next day, and she was transferred to Psych.

Another nurse and I suggested the pt being put back on the vent. lol He was MUCH more cooperative!!! lol

I had one that asked me to lay in the bed with her...very uncomfortable feeling.

I had an elderly man ask me to sit on his lap and another time to strip naked and run up and down the ward for him....hmmm let me see....no thanks LOL

He has SDH, ETOH abuse and dementia but sometimes he just gets the cheekiest grin on his face and winks at you. You can't stay mad at him LOL

The sad thing is it is the best offer I have had in a long time LOL

We have alot of elderly horny male residents in the home I work:no:. It comes with the territory, not that it doesn't freak me out b/c it does:uhoh3:. All female staff gets propositioned in one way or another at this place. The poor shower aid (female) gets marriage proposal's after showers of 2 particular male residents every Tues, Thurs, and Sat:rolleyes:. How would you like to be in her shoes? No Thanks. The doc just laughs when we ask for depo shots for these gentlemen.

Working in LTC, kind of an occupational hazard. Getting your cleavage checked out, a few indecent proposals, all iin a days work. I guess, after so many years I kinda just laugh it off. A few of my male co workers have been propositioned as well, actually been pulled down into bed a few times by our sweet little old ladies. Let me tell you one thing for sure....even if the pmh says partially blind,,,,don't believe it!!! They can see what they want if the opportunity arises.

Had one old guy ask me if I thought his beard was soft. I said I guess so, then he told me imagine how soft it would be between my breasts.... never made such a fast exit in all my life,,,,and they said this guy was confused

He heh.... I had my butt pinched by more than a few feisty LOLs, as well as several marriage propositions when I worked in LTC as a CNA.

Funny thing is that I can't seem to get that kind of attention from anyone besides a crazy hopped-up old lady :>P
