Camp Nurse Conference

Published

It's not too late to register! The ACN (Association of Camp Nurses) annual conference is February 8 - 10th in Atlanta. Topics include: head injuries, medication management, ethics, and hiring camp nurses just to name a few.

Come join us in Atlanta! What I have enjoyed the most about this conference is that it is held concurrently with the ACA annual conference and who doesn't like to be around other camp-minded people?? You don't have to be an ACN member to attend (although it is a bit cheaper).

If you can't come but know of another camp nurse that might want to, pass the information along! You can find the registration at Home - Association of Camp Nurses - ACN

Hope to see you there!

I'll post again in this thread that if anyone wants to road trip I am driving down from PA so that's a bunch of states along the way I'll hit. Can also share accommodations as I have an air B&B about 5 blocks form the hotel.

I look forward to meeting you! I have enjoyed reading all of your posts throughout this specialty. Have you been to one of the ACN conferences before?

It's my first conference, I'm hoping to network the heck out of the place. I always love meeting camp nurses.

I highly recommend this conference, I've been going for a few years now, and it's VERY worth it! The knowledge, the networking, it's all wonderful! And if you're interested in the camp community in general, this conference is joined with American Camp Assn. national conference. Camp nursing is the best, anyone that's into nursing theories will realize that is follows perfectly with Florence Nightingale's theory of letting the natural environment do the healing.

Is there any way to listen to recordings from the conference?

I don't think so, they didn't mention it. That's a great idea though, but I've never been to a conference that has that available, have you?

Yes! It's great! That way if you wanted to catch more than one break-out session at a time, you can! Or people who can't attend the conference can view or listen from home. Some charge for the podcasts, others don't.
