Hi all,
I have posted a few times about my worries on getting into a nursing program and just wanted to share that I got accepted to Watts School of Nursing in Durham. I am so excited and I was wondering if any Watts students (or from other programs) had any advice on how they have gone about financing their education. I never had to deal with financial aid when I got my undergrad a few years ago and Watts is pretty pricey, (about $30,000). I plan to do the tuition reimbursement program with Duke when I graduate but I'm worried about what to do right now. Any advice on financial aid or private loan experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!:heartbeat
First part includes spatial(know your stuff!), math in word problem format, and antonyms. For the antonyms, you have a set of words and you have to select the one that is most different. Second part is reading comp. No joke!!! Get your reading done fast. 40 quest in 15 minutes. The questions are not in order with the paragraph.Good luck all!!!
Thanks for the update!!!

You are so right LadyL963!! That is how the test is...I took it today. Math isnt the simple math problems in the book but mostly time consuming word problems and you have to spend time reading it correctly, calculate, then fill in the bubble. So do yourself well and practice the long, time consuming ones only. There are antonyms and they are like the ones on the psbtest website not like the ones in the book where they give you a word and you have to find the word with the opposite meaning. With the reading part you have to NOT read the paragraph...read the questions and find them in the paragraphs. There are three and they aren't that long...like a half a page.
Good luck to all!! I hope this helps!!
