Calling all non-traditional nursing students!!!

Published

Good day! I hope all is well!! Are there any other non-traditional nursing students on here who are in route to becoming a nurse?! I hope to inspire those who have a lot on their plates and feel as though they need some inspiration, including myself......so let's band together in optimism and inspire one another!!!

Hey!!!! Tell me a little more about yourself. Are you starting clinicals in the fall?! If not, when do you start?! Will you be in orientation on August 25th?!

Hi I am a non traditional student as well. I am 34, and a mom of two wonderful girls. I am in Washington State and just got accepted into Nursing School. I work as a CNA in a LTC facility.

Hi - I'm a 34 yr old mom of 3 (ages 2,3,& 9) going into my 3rd semester for my ADN. I would love to start a group for those in similar situations to be able to support one another.

35 here, just graduated from an ADN, studying for NCLEX and getting ready to move forward. it was hard, I worked part time on weekends and worked the graveyard shift weeknights to support myself, pay the mortgage, bills, etc. but if I can do it, ANY one can too.

Congrats on your acceptance!!! I am a 29 year old mother of one from NY. I actually have family in Washington state. How do like working as a CNA?!

I definitely admire mothers who choose to go back to school! It pulls on my heart strings because I am one. I have an 8 year old who will be 9 in December. I'm happy that you are almost at the finish line!! Keep pushing!!!!

Congrats on completing your program and thank you so much for your words of encouragement!!!! I'm praying that you pass the NCLEX!!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾

36yo, married mom of 3 (13, 10, 7) here. Although in my program, us "non traditional " students are the majority

I'm a nontraditional student going in to finish my final semester of a BSN program. 33, married, but no kids. Still very hard to balance out home and family life - especially when i compare my routine to everyone else's in my class (all but one are not married, first time in school, and under 23 or so...).

Completely different life perspectives but I still try to be social and make friends... But then I get tired and go home to get some sleep. Lol, so it'd be nice to know of other students like me. :)

Hi I am 29 (on the 13th) married, mom of 3 (9,5 and 2 months) which we also homeschool. I have two more semester before I can get into my nursing program. I also work with Greyhounds the dogs.:) Its Nice to meet you!
