Hello !
Thanks for stopping by I have a few questions if anyone can help me.
I am working FT as a telephonic case manager and will be starting PMHNP program at Regis all online (minus clinical at the end)
Is this doable ? I am nervous however I attended LPN- RN- BSN all while working FT two jobs no child ! now I have a 16 month old...
Second- Psych NP worth it? I live in Mass and I am seeking this route to further my education for obvious reasons and to allow me to be home more with my son and hopefully make a decent salary doing so :)
Any advice is welcome below any experiences welcome as well thank you ALL

Yes, it is doable. Regis appears to be a for-profit school and those are expensive and also regarded with some skepticism. There are many excellent public and private not-for-profit schools that are online or hybrid programs and it would be wiser to go to one of those. They would also be cheaper.
Honestly, if the only reason you want to be in psych is because you want more $, then please don't. Psych is a passion and a calling. There is a real shortage of mental health professionals because few people have the desire or ability to do psych. Unless you really love psych for it's own sake, then please don't go into it just for the money.

OP you'd best figure out why you want to do Psych specifically and have an idea what you are getting into...

Regis College is in MA (where OP is going)
Regis University is in CO (no PMHNP)
Both are NON-PROFIT private Catholic schools. (CO is Jesuit, MA is St. of St Joseph)

Hi :) Thank you! I previously worked in dual diagnosis and substance abuse facilities- I also worked with dementia and alzheimers..I think I would like to stick with SA.
Is this online as well ? :)

i really like psych and there is a difference between inpatient and outpatient for sure. If the school has the right accrediation and fits into your life go for it i will say i had to take some time off during my second rotation and i will probably have to do this again to keep up with the reading and homework..i looked at different program layouts and really they were all very similar im guessing they all try to meet the standards for accreditation. Heres a few places to look at for psych South AL, Maryville, Walden, Vanderbilt, St.Francis medical center good luck
