California test takers end up tortured!

Published

Is this the slowest BRN in the country? Does anyone know how to get results sooner than looking up a license number. I cant believe that some people get their results in less than 24 hours. I am so jealous, but happy for you at the same time. I wouldnt wish this waiting nightmare on my worst enemy.

Sorry for your agony of waiting, just want to wish you the best of luck, and hopefully you will get the results back soon :)

If California did not permit a student to take the exam before they had a complete application on them, then there would not be this issue. This is what causes the delay. Not them being slow, but the file not complete, and they cannot issue you a license until it is. Simple as that.

Its not the license that I am concerned about . I would simply like to know my test results, like other states do. Some test takers dont even have to wait days, its almost instant from what I understand. Thats all Im upset about.

That still would not be fair. To give you the results still means that you meet all requirements of being a REgistered Nurse, and unyil your file is complete with 100% of everything required, you do not necessarily meet the requirements.

This has been well know here for years, then a suggestion, take the exam in another state and endorse afterwards.

Not every one finds out immediately, there are others that wait also..........

LPNs wait here about one month.

California also allows the interim permit, many states no longer do that. So in some cases it is better the way that they do it. Remember that if you do not pass, your IP becomes null and void.

I know exactly how you feel but don't lose hope. California is slow and it took them 4.5 weeks to post my license. Some classmates of mine had to wait 3 - 4 weeks and others only 2-3 days, hard to figure. The delays in most cases seemed to be related to transcript issues. I wish you the best of luck and positive results soon :)
