California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) ABSN Fall 2024

Published

I'm aiming to get into the Fall 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread so I thought I'd make one ?Good luck to everyone applying and hopefully I get to meet some of you next fall!

I hope people who've applied previously can help me with some questions:

  • I'm not due to be done with the pre-nursing core until May 2024. Will that be soon enough to get in by Fall?
  • I got a C for a class which fulfills "CSU GE Area: A2 - Written Communication" according to the assist.org sheet. I've since moved and my local community college doesn't list any articulations. Would a normal-looking, A2-fulfilling English Reading and Comp work? It just seems so weird to me that my local CC wouldn't have something that would fulfill this req for CSUSM.
  • I took gen chem + lab at a UC but I don't see any articulation agreements anywhere saying it counts for the chem requirements. https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/ says: "If an integrated chemistry course with a lab that covers inorganic, organic and biochemistry is not available at your institution, ideally we are looking for a general chemistry course with lab (not an intro to general chemistry) or an organic chemistry course with lab." Will my gen chem + lab work for them?
  • The webpage says "Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to meet individually with all prospective students to review transcripts." My question is: seriously? Isn't there anyone at CSUSM I can shoot an email to so I can be sure my classes are acceptable to them?

Hi all! Got notified via email that I got accepted! Had 40 points.

Hi friends, I was also accepted yesterday with 37 points!

Did anyone's TEAS score not show up on their evaluation sheet?

How long did it take to get your acceptance after you received your evaluation sheet?

who can I call to find out if they sent my evaluation sheet or check how many points I have?

We should make a fb group for our cohort. 🙂 Does anyone know how too?

I got my eval sheet in February but I also submitted my application last November! Very early in the cycle

Has anyone made the FB group? It'd be nice to get to know y'all!

@econtr14 I was going to try to figure out how to make one. Unless someone else knows how too. Are we cohort 49?

@alenz509 Um I think so! Summer has theirs as 47
