California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) ABSN Fall 2024

Published

I'm aiming to get into the Fall 2024 cohort and didn't see a thread so I thought I'd make one ?Good luck to everyone applying and hopefully I get to meet some of you next fall!

I hope people who've applied previously can help me with some questions:

  • I'm not due to be done with the pre-nursing core until May 2024. Will that be soon enough to get in by Fall?
  • I got a C for a class which fulfills "CSU GE Area: A2 - Written Communication" according to the assist.org sheet. I've since moved and my local community college doesn't list any articulations. Would a normal-looking, A2-fulfilling English Reading and Comp work? It just seems so weird to me that my local CC wouldn't have something that would fulfill this req for CSUSM.
  • I took gen chem + lab at a UC but I don't see any articulation agreements anywhere saying it counts for the chem requirements. https://www.CSUSM.edu/el/programs/health-medical/bsnursingaccelerated/ says: "If an integrated chemistry course with a lab that covers inorganic, organic and biochemistry is not available at your institution, ideally we are looking for a general chemistry course with lab (not an intro to general chemistry) or an organic chemistry course with lab." Will my gen chem + lab work for them?
  • The webpage says "Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to meet individually with all prospective students to review transcripts." My question is: seriously? Isn't there anyone at CSUSM I can shoot an email to so I can be sure my classes are acceptable to them?

@alenz509 wait I think we're 48 actually LOL, in my head I thought that's what you wrote 😂

I made it it's called CSUSM ABSN FALL 2024 on facebook

Just requested to join!

I received an acceptance letter on 04/24 with 38 points!

I just got a waitlist letter... anyone else? I had 40 points so I'm a little confused.

Hello, I also applied for this program in 2024, but I haven't received the evaluation form yet. It may be because I have an international curriculum, so it might take a little longer than others.
