California State University, Sacramento (Sac State) Spring 2025 BSN Program

Published

Hello everyone, I wanted to make a forum for us applying to Sacramento State's Spring 2025 cohort for the BSN program to hopefully discuss the application and maybe some other questions we have. It might be helpful for us and future applicants as well!

Did you guys upload the application checklist with your application?

I uploaded it as a miscellaneous document. I heard that if you go to the application workshop they'll walk you through everything!

That's a great idea thank you! I think I have everything ready so I'll attend one of those!

I will be taking my TEAS exam in few days! Any tips or things to watch out for😭

I am so nervous

I just submitted my application!  Feeling both excited and incredibly nervous.  Good luck everyone!

I just took my test this morning and I passed! I was so nervous and I think I started rambling but at least I was rambling in Spanish LOL

YAY I'm so proud of you! :) So excited, maybe we'll be in the same cohort!

Awww thank you! You're so sweet I'm really hoping I get in! 🙏🏻

Hey everyone! I just submitted my app with 73 points but im hoping to get 76 with work experience. Im currently a phlebotomist at Quest and I was just wondering if anyone else has phleb experience? They don't list CPT licenses under the HC experience form, just CNAs EMTs etc so I'm just worried about getting those extra points :~/. Also I am using two AP scores from 2014 (im an older applicant LOL) and was wondering if anyone has heard from sac state or collegeboard about receiving their scores yet? I mailed them Sept 3rd and find it weird I havent heard anything!

Your phleb work hours should count. I would update your application to show 76 points.  If they decide they don't like your work experience, they will let you know, and you can change it. Either way, you should have enough points.

I applied last semester with 71 points and was waitlisted ( number 28; they took 24 off the waitlist last semester). This semester, I have 73😊🤞

Hey Zoe - I also went through the archive College Board process.  It took about 3 weeks for them to send the transcripts to Sac State.  You'll get a piece of mail from College Board confirming they sent it to Sac State, but Sac State does not proactively communicate with you.  I did contact the admissions office to have them confirm they had it on file, and that took maybe another 3-4 days to get a response from them.  If you sent it on Sept 3rd, I'd guess you'll be getting the confirmation mail from College Board any day now!

Thanks for your feedback! I was starting to worry since my card hasn't even been charged yet but I'm sure it'll work out!

Thanks for the advice! Do you know if the form needs to be signed in person or if I can just have someone sign the pdf electronically for the places I no longer work at? It doesnt specify so I figure it'll be alright either way but IDK. 73 is solid!! Im sure it'll work out this time, good luck 🙂

You probably already took it but my biggest advice is to take the full amount of time even if you think its unnecessary. I would finished subjects with like 30 mins left but reread until the clock went out which I didn't do on my practice ones and I caught some errors and scored 5% more on the real test than either practice test. good luck!!

What are your guys stats? I'm super nervous bc I feel like the stats for people accepted gets better and better each year. I have a 4.0 for adjusted GPA and got a 92.7% for TEAS and will hopefully get couple points for optional criteria! But your girl is stresseddd😅
