Hello everyone, I wanted to make a forum for us applying to Sacramento State's Spring 2025 cohort for the BSN program to hopefully discuss the application and maybe some other questions we have. It might be helpful for us and future applicants as well!

Do you have specific types of things you are thinking of? They will eventually give you a list of things to purchase. When that time comes, I always recommend getting a good stethoscope, for sure.
Danny Blackman said:Greetings all, my name is Danny and I am a current 3rd semester student in the nursing program at Sac State. I wanted to connect now since I will be acting as a TA for your cohort. As with Ansh (who is awesome by the way), I will be available for any questions you might have about the onboarding process or strategies for success once you start the program. It's a rigorous program, but as Ansh said, it is also one of the most supportive environments you will ever find. We are a good bunch.
Random, but are there specific shoe requirements? I know some programs require all white, etc.

Hi Zoe, I'm applying for Fall 2025, but did your AP scores end up getting to the school on time? I'm dealing with the same thing right now (I mailed AP Services on 12/13) and I'm scared the Winter holiday dates are going to make this even more stressful for me T.T

Hi Bjol, you will get all of your books as part of a subscription, so don't worry about that right now. Prior to going into nursing school, I purchased access to some of the straight a nursing materials (I particularly found the med math module very helpful) but it's not super necessary. I will also point out that the nurse who runs that website is a clinical instructor at Sac State and she has given access to her content for free to use while in nursing school. Otherwise, just get your onboarding done as soon as you are able, try and relax, and ask your questions as they occur to you. I highly recommend that you create a FB or Discord account for your cohort (unless one has already been created?) as it makes communication a lot easier than a forum like this. Just a thought for anyone who likes to organize. If you have question, Ansh set up the Discord for his cohort, so he is a great resource for that.
