Hi All,

Just wanted to start a forum for those planning to apply for the ABSN program at CSUN during Spring 2021.

Very little information.  I think nursing programs in this area are generally impacted, so I imagine the competition is pretty stiff, but I have no stats to back that up, LOL.

Hi all!

I reached out to the program and was told "all applicants would be notified of their admission status by November." 

Hopefully its not until late November!?

I haven’t heard anything either ? but last year my friend who got into the Spring 2020 class found out a week before thanksgiving. Hopefully we’ll find out sooner tho!

The email requested a 3-minute introduction speech, which included two sub-questions, and gave a 5-day return deadline to the minute. I am wondering if this is a second-round or if everyone got one...

That's awesome! Sounds like a second-rounder to me LOL Unfortunately I did not receive that email ?

Sure,

I am an undergrad (psych major) 3.5 and prereqs 3.8 with over 10 years of senior mgmt skills in administration for a medical facility. I have 500 volunteer health hours with the president's volunteer service award (2019). 100 hours of direct patient care. Completed the CNA program but pending certification because COVID-19 closed test centers.

I actually turned mine in a couple days ago. My video interview request was sent out last week. I don’t know if that helps?

@Ronnathelion @Sunflowers28 Did you both do your undergrad at CSUN? I heard sometimes they admit current students or alumni, first. Not sure if this is true.
