Hello,

I decided to start a thread for those who are applying to the Providence Health TIP Program that starts in September 2018.

We can all keep each other updated as they begin the process of contacting those who qualify. Thank you :)

Hey there! I'm applying right now. I'm crossing my fingers! I just graduated this May, but I'm transferring my license from AZ (once I take the NCLEX). I'm really hoping that this takes less time than just going through CA, I've heard it can take ages. I've also heard that most hospitals won't even look at your application if you don't have a current license. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I applied on 5/25. I can't vote since I must not be an "active" member but my top choice in units were L&D and NICU. I picked Burbank and mission hills as my first and second choice as far as facility location.

Hey, I applied to the ER and Critical Care for Burbank and Mission Hills as well (: Hopefully we hear back soon!

Hello, I do not have experience with that, but I believe the New Grad program begins in September, so you should be fine as long as you have it before the start date!

You can look at the RN processing times on the brn website to get an estimation of how long the process will take to get your license endorsed in CA.

I'm not familiar with transferring a license but I hope it's fairly quick for you. Do you have an ADN or a BSN? I thought I remember the burbank location trying to gain magnet status back in 2014 so I'm curious if they are picky.

Hello nurses!

i applied to medsurg/tele and oncology at Burbank and mission hills location. I wonder when they start contacting candidates. Burbank location has been trying to get magnet recognition for a while now. I can't wait to hear back from them!!!!!

I live closer to mission hills but tons of my friends did clinical rotations at Holy Cross and loved it. I did one semester at Tarzana and one semester at St John's. Any one else have experience with any of the Providence hospitals? That was a question on the application, I'm hoping that's a good thing.

I have my BSN. I'm not sure if they have magnet status yet but hopefully we hear back this week or next week (:

Sadly, no, I have never had clinicals at any of the Providence hospitals. Although I live really close to the burbank hospital. So hopefully that helps, but I guess we will see what happens. Hopefully we hear back from them this week or next week (:

Hey everyone,

just checking in as we all impatiently wait to hear back. The email I received after submitting my application said they were going to try to get back to us 2-3 weeks later. I checked my app status and it still says "we have received your submission. I also see that they are still actively accepting applications and won't close it until they fill all their positions. From what I've read they changed the way they accept applications. I saw that prior to this cohort you could apply to each and every hospital you wished to, now you have to submit one application and state your two top hospitals and units. Anyway, just wanted to see how everyone was doing.

I remember reading that as well. Friday was officially 2 weeks, so hopefully we start hearing back this week, although it does say it may take longer. My application status says the same as yours! I applied to Burbank and Mission Hills.
