Hi!! Just wanted to start a thread for those that applied for Southwestern College's Fall 2015 ADN Program. I'm so nervous to wait for March/April for the notices to come out. I'm a hit or miss ranking at 75 points. I'm a CNA with my Bachelor's in Health Science emphasis in Public Health from SDSU as well. Anyone else applied as well? Nervous? Hopefully this discussion keeps going =)
dreamcatcher,
They told me the same thing when I called the nursing program dept. The lady on the phone said that half of the applicants didn't have their SEP with their application. She also said something about letting students complete SEP after acceptance.
Good luck and keep us posted if you hear anything from them.
Congratulations to the both of you!
I got my e-mail as well and it said, "Congratulations! You are being offered a CONDITIONAL space pending completion of your application." It says I have to set up an appointment with the nursing department to go over what is still missing/and or needs further clarification. But I was wondering for those that did get accepted, if their letters states that they're officially accepted or if it also says CONDITIONAL space since we still have to confirm our acceptance with the nursing department. I'm definitely happy but somewhat confused, lol.
Thank you this_jstin!
The letter that I received is somehow different from yours. Mine says, "Congratulations! You are being offered a space in the ADN Program at SWC for the Fall 2015..."
I hope you get accepted. The letter sounds like you have the space but they just need to clarify some information. I could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.
Good luck :)
Thank you!! and Congrats to you dsmom!! My email said "Congratulations! You are being offered a space in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at SWC for the Fall 2015 semester....." as well. I sent in a complete application with SEP and all. The nursing dept rep that I submitted my application too went over my documents with me to ensure I had a complete application before turning it in!! Hope it goes well for you this_jstin!!

You just have to apply for admission as a student to Southwestern and follow the orientation procedures. I turned in my application with the SEP and I'm also not enrolled in any classes. I just had to meet with a counselor to obtain the SEP after transcripts were received and pre-reqs were approved. All of pre-reqs and classes were from SDCCD and SDSU. I went to the pre-reqs section in the admissions office at Otay Lakes Rd and filled out the form, they gave me the clearance of pre-reqs. Then I made an appointment with a counselor at the Otay Mesa campus to make a SEP for me. Again, I did not even enroll into any classes. March is a month away!! Good luck to everyone!
