Has anyone had any luck with applying at National University for their nursing program? I applied back in Oct 06 and have been waiting to hear from them. They are supposed to notify in 3 months. I have called and called and written email upon emails with no response really. :banghead: Please, if anyone has applied and received some sort of letter, I would greatly appreciate your reply.

Thanks

awww i feel special! :wink2: haha, i'm glad you chose to stick with us!:nurse:

Yea, me too! :D Plus, I already ordered all 3 required textbooks, so no turning back now!..:chuckle.. hehehe... As soon as I get them, will start reading them... I'm trying to review my anatomy / physio now... I know, I'm such a nerd... :specs:

Hi ladies, its really nice to see all these posts, every single one is helpful and greatly appreciated:heartbeat. I can't believe we'll be starting soon!! Just to clarify - we'll need to get the ff done: gmail acct, e-mail Jill re:email, nu-fast acct, unbound medicine sign-up @nu computer, Get required texts: book, lab manual & APA - then read first 4 chapters by April 6th!!, e-college (?).. will need to check that one.. oh and yeah, how/when do we get our uniforms?? Plus, the ATI package is included, right? When do we get all this?? Lol, i'm beginning to stress... this part shouldn't be as stressful as getting all our stuff together for the orientation.. so excited to start class!! within two weeks, huh? we'll find out if we'll get the days for our night or day lab.. ahh..hope its all one day, so we won't have to drive so much.

Thanks again ladies!! :D:D

Girls!! Did you get the e-mail from Sarah about the items to remember from Orientation!! Its a good refresher and

reminder of the list of things we need...just got it now! Check your gmail acct!! :yeah:

Yep, just got it!! Don't worry, I'm stressing just as much as you! :D So where are you guys getting your books?? Looks like Barnes and Noble has them for a pretty good price...oh and I think I am going to buy the typical nursing student rolling backpack, - they just look so helpful rather than carrying everything. Anyone know where to get a good one?

hey everyone! yeah i got my book and manual this week from amazon...I got them both for $100. i started reading too...i dont know how we are going to learn all this stuff in a month! lol. not going to be easy thats for sure. i cant wait to find out when labs are. i started at the hospital this week and i love it! its tiring and the schedule is crazy..so i need to know when classes are

Hey. What do you mean by "typical nursing student rolling backpack"? Is that what you see the NU nursing students use? I was just gonna buy a regular backpack, but maybe I should invest in a rolling one instead... huh?

yeah as "nerdy" as they were in high school...it actually is sounding a lot better than carrying our textbooks! lol. but then again, i guess it depends on the professor, so many of mine in the past say not to worry bout carrying the books because they give you enough info in class, and to just read them at home.

Hey guys... I ordered all 3 required textbooks on half.com and ebay, and spent a total of $95 for all 3 (including shipping!!).:yeah: I got one of them yesterday, still waiting on the other 2. As far as the rolling backpack go.... I'm just wondering whether they will require us to bring our textbooks to class or not. If they do, then I definitely will buy a rolling backpack... I did do some research, and it looks like most nursing students recommend getting one cause they carry books all the time. But will we have to bring our books to class every time???? Maybe I should get one anyways.... Ashley, will you be getting a pink one? :p Since you already have a pink scope, I figured you like the color a lot.... :):):)

Wow only $95! I spent $65.00 on just the Assemsent book so far. I just keep wondering, will we even NEED that apa book I am thinking of not getting it, I am a little strapped for cash, so either way I won't even be ordering it until after March 7! I hope thats enough time. B&N did have reasonable prices, I have had great expericences with lightning fast shipping and guarutees....Rolling backpack. Come to think of it, I have seen that a lot!

I am gonna go shopping for a rolling backpack today...:wink2: I have decided to get it... :trc:I figured, my back is more important than the way I look rolling it around campus...:specs:

i got that email saying that we are in a nursing orientation class? is that just a formal way of saying that we have gone to orientation?
