They didnt ask me for this when I applied. Have ypu called and talked to them?

this school is not NLNAC accredited. what does this mean? is it hard for us to find jobs because of that compared to other students who went to NLNAC accredited schools?

GCC is one of the best AA programs in the LA area and not going to an NLNAC accreditation wont stop you from getting a job . However not attending a board approved nursing school will prevent you from getting your license. Here is a link to their website

I asked a recruiter at Kaiser and director of Nursing at CHLA Hospital that they won't hire nurses from non nlnac approved programs. =(

You can make a personal choice but I know that our program has a hire rate of at least 60% of grads within 6 months of graduation while most other schools in LA are at 20-30%

How is this possible when two of Rio Hondo's clinical sites are Kaiser Baldwin Park and Kaiser Downey?

Not sure who you talked to but they only require a BSN. I know many people qhorking there and who got hired from schools that were not nlnac approved

Who requires a BSN? Kaiser? My friend who worked at Kaiser Downey only has an ADN... Also, the school I got into (Rio Hondo) does their clinical sites at Kaiser. I doubt they would have their clinical sites somewhere they are not able to work. Doesn't make sense.
