anyon in here familiar with how the csula el-bsn proram works? like i was on a semester school so im not familiar with quarter system... also how many units is considered full time and how long is the program? would we have to go to summer quarter too??????
  6. by patore
    thanks
well i currently go to csula
so its quarter system theres fall, winter, and spring and they are all 10 weeks long 11 including finals week
a regular year usually starts sept 20 and end june 12 or around that
to be full time u need to have 12 quarter units and the classes for the first quarter of the nursing program are 2 quarter units 3 quarter units it varies so it would have to add to 12 to be full time i suppose
and yes you might have to take classes in the summer because you have never attended csula before so you have to take the graduation requirements which is taking 3 upper division classes under a certain theme also taking the introduction hhs 301 i guess and if you still have to complete any of your g.e's so in order to make up your going to probably have to take summer school to finish those requirements

the program is three years long
so if you start fall 2009 you will finish june 2012 and graduate in June and then take your Nclex-rn some time in late june or july

    hope this helps

anyone in here that got accepted in the fall 2009 nursing program for EL- BSN? i live in fullerton but i dont want to commute so im looking for someone that might be interested in renting a place since i need to find a place to live lol! Please let me know.. or if you know someone thats renting or a place or website to go to...
i've been accepted and i live in huntington beach and am DREADING the commute. try craigslist! i looked about a month ago and renting a room seems very reasonable (compared to HB LOL). i couldn't deal with living in the dorms either hahah.

For Fall applicants, the orientation is on Wednesday, Sep. 23.
Btw, I decided to go to a CC instead of CSULA since I have a BA already; there will be one more space for the alternatives. Good luck!

sorry for resurrecting this thread, I recently recieved a C+ in College Algebra and I'm just curious if I still have a chance of getting accepted into the BSN program at CSULA.
