Clinical Care Extender question

U.S.A. California

I applied for an internship for this program and i also received an email about an interview. What can i expect to be asked during the interview? Also, how strict is their selection process.

I'm a freshmen in college and i want to major in nursing, so i thought this would be a great opportunity to see what it's like in this kind of environment.

I'm not sure where you applied to, but I currently am in the progra, at St.Johns Regional Medical Center. To be honest, the interview was not bad (atleast there it wasn't). It was a group interview and the same question would be for everyone. I remember them asking about diversity and a time when you experienced it. And then about going above and beyond and being a self-starter. It was a lot about them asking you and you giving an example, nothing too stressful. Then they'd give a scenario to each person like "Mrs,. Smith is yelling at the nurses becasuse she is feeling a lot of pain, what do you do as a CCE?" that type of thing. Common sense is basically really good to use..

all in all its not too bad, justs be honest and don't try to impress anyone.

I am curious is this a paying position?

no its not. its a volunteer internship. It really is a great opportunity to step into the medical field world. I have talked to nurses and they have given me so much advice and motivation. The patients too can be some of the greatest people. I encourage you to try it out even though its not a paying position. At St.Johns I have heard of people who are hired as CNA or something.

:roflmao:.......Thank you for the suggestion to try it out, that is sweet. If you click on my stars you will see that I graduated nursing school 34 years ago. I was curious as it is a California thing right now and I had never heard of this.

Hahaha oops.

now thats a little embarrassing...sorry! haha

It has been almost 4 years to the day! I know of a few others that did but it is more of an exception than the rule.

thanks for the info! well appreciated :)
