Jun 16, 20215 yr I am on probation and live in San Jose. I hope to be done soon. I submitted my paperwork and am waiting to hear back.
Jun 16, 20215 yr Author @RNwithDoglet, I hope you are released soon. I have 2 years left. I am in the looking for a job stage. Did you have any difficulties finding a job? I have a panel interview on Thursday and I am a mess. Nice to meet you.
Jun 16, 20215 yr I did not have trouble finding a job. I found that being upfront and open about being on probation worked for me. On an interview, I asked if they knew anyone on probation and that was helpful to open up the door. I got the job. Good luck. I know it seems arduous. I promise it gets easier.
Jul 1, 20215 yr Hello. Were either of you let go from your job when you were placed on probation? I fear I will be placed on probation soon, based on a situation that occurred. I am so nervous I will lose my job when that time comes ?
Jul 1, 20215 yr Author I’m in the Diversion program. I had been fired from my job when I joined. I believe in probation you can still work where as diversion people have to put there license on hold. I would just speak to my boss and be honest with them. Hopefully they can work with whatever restrictions you get.
Jul 28, 20214 yr I am just starting out in diversion and live in the north bay. It's a very overwhelming process! I would love to connect with other nurses going through all this as well.
Jul 29, 20214 yr Author @MarRN12345 it is a lot at first but it becomes routine. I am one year in and I just started a new job. If you need anything or have questions please reach out. I’m always up for a chat.
Jul 29, 20214 yr I was not let go of my job when placed on probation. I know it's scary and overwhelming right now. I promise it will get easier and you will be able to come out on the other side. xo
Aug 13, 20214 yr I’m in Cal on Diversion, 2 years in. It’s actually my second time in Diversion. I was in 2010-2014 and ended up relapsing after I completed. So I do have a good bit of experience with the program. HMU with any questions etc.
