California nclex-RN 9/2016

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi! I recently took the nclex-RN on 9/13/16 and anxiously waiting results. I did the PVT and got the "good pop up." California has a bad reputation of results and applicants sporadically getting their results/ATT and does not always follow the wait time listed on the BRN website.. anyone take their nclex around the same time and have gotten or are waiting results?? On the website it estimates 2-4 weeks, which is really long to wait to see if you passed or not!

I took the test on sep 14/16 and got my results today. People usually get results writhing 48 hours in CA.

I took my NCLEX on 9/10 in the morning and I have not heard back, yet also! I've been checking breeze and the RN license verification and still nothing.. I also got the PVT good pop up so I guess our situations are almost the same. I completely understand how you feel

Just took the NCLEX for the state of California 09/15/2016 and my results were posted this morning (09/17/2016, a Saturday). Thankfully I passed. Took the test out of state in Salt Lake City, Utah. Took me 233 questions. PVT gave me the 'bad pop-up', so unfortunately it is not reliable. Be sure you're checking the California Nursing Verification page through BreEZe. Best of luck!

What review materials did you use? and how long it took you to study ?

I reviewed using Kaplan as well as just brushing up on some topics I knew I wasn't quite as familiar with as I wanted to be. I also made my own study guides for pharmacology questions, just so I had a basic ideas of med suffixes/prefixes so I would be able to identify common med families and know their SE's, etc.

I graduated in May 2016, but California only sent me my ATT late August :/

So I wasn't able to take the NCLEX right away. I studied periodically throughout the summer and heavily the last month.

What material did you use for comprehensive? how many questions did you answered? how was your exam?

Thank you for your reply! Have you contacted BRN? I was thinking of calling them next week to ask about it but I feel like they won't give you the time of day until you've waited 4 weeks ..

Yes I heard people usually get their results within 48 hours too! This is the most intense wait..

I have not yet called them, however, I am planning to this morning. I'll keep you updated :)

HI! i saw that they updated the processing times on the website.. update: i still don't know about my status. Tried calling them as soon as I saw they had changed the processing time frame and can't get through due to "high call volume." >.

Checked my license this morning and they were able to process my license and it showed this morning. The trick works!
