Any of you in CA awaiting your LVN NCLEX results? Maybe we can pass the time quicker w stories and our NCLEX experience? I also heard that we have to pay another $120 once we get our letter in the mail stating if we passed, $120 for the actual license? Anyone know? I just took NCLEX today and computer turned off @ 86.:heartbeat

First off all goodluck to you on your test.yes when my sister passed she had to pay 100bucks

I took NCLEX-PN for California back in late 2005. Once I received the passing letter in the mail 12 days later, I had to mail the $100 personal check into the BVNPT before they would even issue me a license number. After the BVNPT processed the check I had sent them, my license number finally appeared on their website.

The amount recently increased to $120 within the past year or two.

Good luck to you! I know that the process of waiting can be a nerve-wrecking hell.

Wow thank you both very much .. and 12 days! WOWOWOWOWOW! I really hope it is sooner than 4 weeks..

Hi HeartJulz, I'm glad the testing is over for you. You were really stressed out about it, and now it's done... whew! The waiting is awful, I agree. Someone at school last night was telling me that she got her results in 2 weeks. This was 6 years ago, but I'm hoping! My test was one week ago and it feels like a month. I'm trying to not worry about it, but the test was grueling.

The same person who told me she got her results in 2 weeks also told me she's never met anyone who had 85 questions who didn't pass. I'm sure that applies to 86 questions, too!

Good luck, "this too shall pass"... soon,I hope.

WellSee thank you! And yes I was so stressed out ... now I can finally sleep good tonight .. weird that Im not anxious anymore, I figure what is done is done and at least its off my shoulders .. and thanx for the confidence in hoping I passed! I hope so... Its going to be sooooo exciting looking for jobs! YAYAYAYAY!! I already applied to county and a few odd end places .. I may just go to my clinical site as I loved it there... do you know where you will apply?

I took NCLEX last week and it stopped a 85. Yesterday I got one of those NCLEX review offers in mail. I heard it does not mean anything, but i do wonder how these companies that offer review classes get our address and name. I hope we do not have to wait four weeks. All we can do is to be patient and wait. Did anyone try calling the Board to get any information? I wish everyone to get a good news soon!

JMMJ- it would have bothered me too if I had received one of those review class offers in the mail, but the timing is coincidental. I forget where you live, are you in California? If so, you've got to tough it out and wait to be notified by mail as there's no phone number to call. So frustrating!

I wish you luck too, aren't you glad the test is over? May we all pass!!

HeartJulz- You sound terrific, I'm now even more happy that you didn't reschedule your testing date. I'm really impressed that you've already been "pounding the pavement", and I know with your enthusiasm, you'll find something perfect! Yay!!

As for me, I'm in an accelerated LVN-RN bridge program (don't even want to think about what might happen if I don't pass the NCLEX) and I'm swamped with schoolwork. There's a work study program at school and they're planning to hire me. With a class schedule that changes every 10 weeks, I might stick just with that as I know I'll have the flexibility I need. I feel like I have way too many balls in the air right now, but it'll be worth it in 18 months... I hope!

WTH? why would they send you a review course brochure in the mail? How long ago did you take NCLEX? That seems odd? Wellsee the bridge youre doing is 18 mths? that seems awfully long for a bridge... most of them I see are max. 12 mths... with the norm being 8mths long. I still am working on my last 3 science pre reqs this yr and applying next yr for bridge. I dont plan on being LVN for long... but I want the experience.. and in flu season I plan to do the flu clinics this yr. Anyway gotta run and figure out if I want to get out of town for the weekend, I never have any fun! Im a bore!! hehe have a good weekend .... we all have fingers crossed....hope we hear good news soon...:heartbeat-- Julz

Have a great weekend, HeartJulz... you deserve it after all the stress of that darned test!

The bridge program I'm in includes all prereqs. The only thing you need to come into this program with is an LVN license. My status is "pending" while I await results. The classes are super fast-paced and there's alot of homework. I'll be envying you while I'm stuck with books this weekend.

Have fun!!

HeartJulz....I am sure you did great. One of my classmates passed with 86! I hope the wait is not too long until you get your results. Make sure and let me know!

That sounds awesome ... I wish there were a bridge out here that had pre reqs included ... Im takin Chem right now but really far behind and almost to drop ... then just have my Micro. and Physio. so I plan to take that in Fall and apply Jan-March of 09, but I may need an additional Math--yuck as they are having new requirements starting in 09 for higher math .. haha I had to pay out the ying yang for a tutor for pre algebra, so I dont knwo how thats going to boil over... but Im determined to get through this ... i cant wait for Physio. I had the best time in anatomy, we got to work on the cadavers, and I think the same goes for physio. plus there is a teacher thats super awesome that I had for anatomy that also teaches physio.... what pre reqs are you taking thats included? whats the course like?
