California LVNs (after NCLEX)

Published

Any of you in CA awaiting your LVN NCLEX results? Maybe we can pass the time quicker w stories and our NCLEX experience? I also heard that we have to pay another $120 once we get our letter in the mail stating if we passed, $120 for the actual license? Anyone know? I just took NCLEX today and computer turned off @ 86.:heartbeat

Hey all.

Just some hope. I took the exam March 23rd, and the test stopped at 85 I think. Took my 53 minutes. I was completely convinced that I flunked. I got my results in today. Passed! Another $120 and I am an LVN in the state of CA.

BTW, with computer adaptive testing (this goes for nursing, tech, et.al.), if you are aware of the minimum cutoff point and you meet it, but are fairly confident in 50-60% of your answers, you are probably good to go. Now if you are 250+ questions in, that is when you need to become a little concerned (the comp keeps giving you questions in specific areas that you are doing poorly in).

Anywho, the bad news is that I am moving to NC, where this license will probably be useless (military challenge). But my application to a BSN program will look better with an LPN license, right? I hope so!

Anywho, good luck to you all!
