We have all heard how lengthy the California licensing by endorsement can be. I haven't found any new updated threads on this. What's your experience been in the California license by endorsement process?… I'm from NY and sent in my license for endorsement a month ago, which was the middle of December 2015. I think I'm looking at another 3 months from now. I didn't apply for the temporary license. They haven't cashed my check yet.
What's your status and how's the process going for you?
Thanks.
Hello everyone,
I am currently in the process of license endorsement to California and while filling out the online application I encountered the RN license number by exam and RN license Issue date by exam. Where can I find those information? I passed the Ca-NCLEX in 2009 and decided to endorsed it to Texas since I don't have ssn that time. Now, that I am already here in California and want to endorsed my license here.
Thank you very much!
Hello, thought I'd join this group while I wait for my CA RN license to process. I currently reside in Oklahoma, but was born and raised in Cali so I'm wanting to relocate back to southern California. I'm currently working as a nurse in Oklahoma and haven't been able to apply to any other jobs because I haven't received my California RN license yet. I sent every component of the application by mail on 3/28/18. Even flew into California in March to get my fingerprints scanned. They didn't start processing my application till 4/12/18 and now I've been waiting every since to get my temp & perm rn license.
On their processing website, it states they are currently processing temp licenses submitted in May, but I've submitted mine back in April 12 and still haven't seen any e-mail or licenses about a temp license. I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone in person because they don't have a number listed on their website. I'm getting the feeling that if I contact them, it may take longer for my licenses to process so I really haven't reached out to them, but it's quite upsetting that all I can do is simply wait.
Online at Breeze, my application for both temp & perm state that they are being "processed" and "open." I haven't seen any deficiencies yet, but I'm honestly hoping they'll process them both any day now. It'll be exactly 10 weeks tomorrow and it's already past the estimated time for a temp license. 2 weeks more to meet the ETA for a perm license. I'll keep everyone updated on my process! and when I get my license!
Best of luck to everyone else!
Just thought I would put a timeline of my license by endorsement process. I went to do the fingerprints in CA the week before submitting my entire application online (including email requests for transcripts) on 4/4/2018.
My application status on Breeze has been "pending - open" since submitting the application. On May 21st, the processing times website was updated to include applications submitted from April 1-15 so I thought my license may go through soon. It took almost 4 weeks but I logged into Breeze on June 15th and saw my application status disappeared and I was able to lookup my license online. Total time for me was 10 weeks and 2 days.
If anyone is looking for current info...i received endorsement about 2 months after I sent in the application. I think the fingerprinting process takes the longest. It didn't hurt that i had been visiting California last Sept and did the LiveScan in Bonita, Ca. So they could look up my fingerprints easily.
I heard the fee for endorsement is now 350$
Hi everyone,I applied for California licensure by endorsement since April 14th and I'm yet to see my license information in my breeze account nor have I gotten any correspondence from them till now. I have been calling every week to follow up but the representatives keep telling to wait till my time frame. The processing time was updated today and it's moved past my time frame but still yet to see any update on my license information. I called the license office today and I was told my file will be re- forwarded again which have been told severally. I've asked to speak with my evaluator countless times and was told I can't speak with him/her except I have correspondence. On the two occasions I was transferred to speak with the evaluator, no one picked the call and I left voice message but got no response.
At this point, I'm really confused because I do not know what is causing the delay and I'm seeking people's opinion on what I should do next on this process.
Thank you,
currlysue

That sounds like such a pain
I spoke to someone at the BRN and they said I only needed to send the request form to the school of nursing but its better to be safe than have the process take longer.
In terms of the live scan form, there's a field that says "You Number: RN#______" and underneath it says "OCA Number (Agency Identifying Number)". I called a UPS store who provides Live Scan services and the employee told me this is my CA RN number which didn't really make sense to me. He said that if I didn't have one to leave it blank. Can anyone tell me what that is?
