california license by endorsement

U.S.A. California

We have all heard how lengthy the California licensing by endorsement can be. I haven't found any new updated threads on this. What's your experience been in the California license by endorsement process?… I'm from NY and sent in my license for endorsement a month ago, which was the middle of December 2015. I think I'm looking at another 3 months from now. I didn't apply for the temporary license. They haven't cashed my check yet.

What's your status and how's the process going for you?

Thanks.

3-6 months. Sometimes California BON will let you know on their website if they behind in processing.

I endorsed from Illinois in 2015. From the day that I mailed my paperwork to the day that my license number was on the website was 3.5 months.

Hi ! Have you checked the processing times at the BON's website.

Board of Registered Nursing - Processing Times

idk how accurate that is. I havent even experienced waiting for a month and im already going crazy and anxious. So many opportunities just passing by my face :(

Sent in my application packet with livescan done and nursys done on feb 4, 2016 with check for temp and perm license. Lol even though many said dont waste the 50 on temp license.

I have a very different situation. I am from california and i initially applied for licensure by examination but while waiting for my eligibility (which was taking too long since im a foreign grad), i applied for licensure in texas and passed. My family were really considering moving to texas at that time but everything changed. Then suddenly this past january, i got my eligibility for cali " to exam". So i contacted my analyst and i asked about my situation and how do i endorse my texas license. She said do everything except the transcripts and other supplmental forms for foreign grads since i am deemed eligible already. But anyways thats my story...

No check charged yet. And i tried emailing my analyst again for updates on feb 11 since she responded fast before. But naaadaaa.

Hopefully something soon for all of us. Stay positive!

Prayers and have a good day!

thanks for sharing your story. I sent in all my paperwork with fingerprints on December 18. They cashed my check on february 2, and made my breeze account on february 1. just waiting…. the website says 10-12 weeks to process… i think it starts from the day they cash the check. i haven't called yet to check on my status. good luck to us

Hi,

Thank you for this thread. I have been searching madly of anyone's current experience on CA RN endorsement. I sent in all my paperwork by FEB 26. I have sent in my other application forms earlier as my transcript had to be sent later so there was a delay in my papers. About 2.5 weeks, my check was cashed. I have previously sent in 50$ check for my temporary license, but for some reason, that was not cashed. My breeze account updated that my RN endorsement is "pending", which was updated when my check was cashed. I am currently working with a RN recruiter in American Mobile and they told me it should take about 4 weeks to get my license since the day it was cashed. I'm really hoping if there is no issues, my license will come by April 4! The waiting is agonizing...

I was also worried that my nursys verification will expire, since I submitted on Jan. 29, which should expire by April 29. (3 months since your RN license is verified). I emailed nursys about this issue and this is what they told me:

"Your verification will remain active in Nursys until the board deletes the verification. As of today, your verification is still available in Nursys for the CA-RN board of nursing to acknowledge. Please follow up on the status of your verification directly with the CA-RN board of nursing. You may click on the following link to obtain the Board of Nursing's contact information: Contact a Board of Nursing | NCSBN

In the future, please address your question and/or concerns about License Verification for Endorsement to [email protected]. "

So, I'm not sure why the application form says license verification expires in 3 months. Anyways, I hope the nursys is right about their answer! I will keep you updated on my status!

Best of luck everyone!

I just got my perm number online but no card 3/25

That sounds good don't worry about the card the employer could look through a website online or directly with the board of your state! Congrats

Congratulations! That is about 5 weeks! That is alot shorter than what people are expecting. Thank you for the update!
