california license by endorsement

Published

We have all heard how lengthy the California licensing by endorsement can be. I haven't found any new updated threads on this. What's your experience been in the California license by endorsement process?… I'm from NY and sent in my license for endorsement a month ago, which was the middle of December 2015. I think I'm looking at another 3 months from now. I didn't apply for the temporary license. They haven't cashed my check yet.

What's your status and how's the process going for you?

Thanks.

That sounds good don't worry about the card the employer could look through a website online or directly with the board of your state! Congrats

Thank you :) !

Thank you for the advice and encouragement! Really needed it and appreciate you! Where will you be working?

Hi! So I'm getting really antsy. I sent a request for the fingerprint cards on 2/22, and requested again after two weeks when they still hadn't come in. I've been waiting over a month now - would you guys recommend calling the BON to see what the hold up is? I have everything else ready to go, and I would really like to have everything submitted soon. Thanks!

you should also try calling BON at 8 am, usually someone picks up at that time. I have read from other threads that they get fingerprint cards at their police stations and such. So you can clarify with the BON if you can actually do that. And follow up your fingerprint cards at the same time too. Based from their stories, they had no problem. If its not inconvenient, you can also get your live scan done in cali.

For LVN or RN? California has separate boards for each.

Hey guys,

Like many others, I've been waiting with anticipation about my California License.

I sent my application for endorsement with the temp license fee. I even went to California to do the livescan fingerprint. How do you know if they've cashed your cheque ? I tried looking my name up and nothing about my license comes up.

hi! You just check ur bank account if u were charged yet. When did u submit everything? Or when did they receive them?

:) stay positive!

I sent a money order (from

canada) on February 5th and according to the tracking number it " arrived at the delivery office in the destination country on February 8th".

The money came out of my account on the day I sent the money order. So it's been over a month and I don't kniw if they cashed it yet.

Hi guys! I finally received my license on April 15 via email. It was a miracle that I got it so fast!

I noticed on breeze that my license information was not on my file anymore. I called the board and was placed on hold and eventually I was cut off the line. I eventually got a hold of the IT breeze line and they told me to call the board directly and said, "let me give you the RIGHT number". I thought that was odd. This is the phone number I used: 1800 838 6828. I was on hold for 15 minutes and then I finally had someone pick up the phone and look up my license information! The was when I was transferred to a credential office and he told me that I was missing a few more documents to obtain my license. I scanned a couple more documents for him and set it to him via email and once that was done, I was able to get my license right away. Supposively I was sent a letter stating that I was missing several supporting documents, but I did not receive that until 2 wees from the sent date. If I had not called, I wouldve had to wait a couple more weeks to get my license. The credential officer also told me that once they open my file on breeze, my status on breeze disappears. So, that is my story with the board. If you ever need help, please don't hesitate to message me! :)

Congrats on finalllyyyyyy getting your license! I know it's such a long process. I'm in the middle of it right now too. I sent my application February 5th. I heard back from the board a month ago about sending them a copy of my SSN, diploma and license in Ontario (I'm a Canadian RN). They also wanted the school to confirm acouple courses and my OB/Peds hours. I'm just wondering if you have heard of anyone getting declined a license due to a lack of OB or Pediatric clinical hours. I had just under 100 OB hours and no pediatric hours because I didn't have a Pediatric placement while in school. However I work with peds all the time in emergency. Does everyone in the states get both OB and peds placement?

thanks for reading!
