Calhoun Community College Spring 2016

Hello everyone! It's almost that time again for nursing applications to be put in for Calhoun. I haven't seen a thread created for the students that will be applying for the spring 2016 Nursing program so I decided to start one! I heard that the link will be opening up sometime in July and close sometime in August. I still have to take a TEAS test before I apply. Anyway, I'm looking forward to chatting with potential nursing applicants!!

Ok so the letters were to go out yesterday. Trying not to think about it: both boys haircut this morning, check. Got back home, maybe I should look into the mailbox...Oh boy there's the letter. I put it in my back pocket because I'm scared now. I go back into the house to heat up some left over pizza with the family for lunch. My wife askes me, "What's that in your pocket?" I smile as politely as I can, holding back the tears. I can't open it. My dear wife of 16 years gets up from the table. Clearly, she's not as petrified as I am.

Ok, ok, I get it. So with trembling hands I open the letter praying, hoping, pleading. Jer. 29-11 flashes through my mind, it has always helped in the past. This time is no different. The verse calms me and the letter is out by this time, I open my eyes...I GOT IN to CCC ADN day program Spring 2016.

Congratulations 3rdgippy!! While I need to get a Facebook, I'm very happy for you and anyone else who got accepted! I too was accepted into the CCC ADN day program Spring 2016 :laugh: Left voicemails for all my important ones and just sent the email stating I was intending to enroll!!

OMG Congratulations to both of you!!! I haven't gotten a letter from Calhoun yet so here's hoping I get something soon!! When did you guys get your letters? Yesterday or today? O gosh I have to camp out at my mailbox lol!!

Thanks, I received mine today! Hoping your letter comes in today, if not, then definitely Monday for sure!! :yes: I had been watching the mailman drive onto the street before mine, then up my street, then waited impatiently in the garage (The weather today was quite summer like) then heard the sound of the car and quickly RAN down the driveway. Partially camped in the garage, I guess, haha!

Lol that's awesome!! I've been peeking through the window ever since I heard that letters went out yesterday. So FINALLY the mailman came and I saw an envelope and I was like "I didn't get in...!" But I opened it and I GOT IN!!!! OMG I'm literally so happy I cried! I got in the ADN day with 220.9 points. When you emailed Ms. Couch did you use your Calhoun email or your regular email?

I bet it is so nerve-wrecking being at work and knowing your letter could possibly be in your mailbox. Good Luck!! Let us know once you open your letter!!!

Yay!! Congratulations! I used my regular email, but hindsight, maybe I should've used my Calhoun one? I'm not quite sure ahhh (but I went with regular).
