Calhoun CC Fall 2014

Published

Anyone applying for Calhoun's nursing program this fall? I am and I am really anxious and excited!!!

I guess I'm totem pole low. But I don't have all prereqs complete or micro so I lose 38 points right away :( If I get in we all get in lol. But yeah most people don't have all A's or a good teas from what I hear others talk about. So I'm sure past the 150 mark everyone's safe

Hi! I have never posted before but I too have applied for the ADN program this fall.

Add me to the watch list!

Hi Melissa. Join us in pulling out our hair until we hear something.

I'm totally there...

Thanks ;)

Ok guys word on the street is that they have one person who puts together the packets for mailing. That's what they are working on now. A friend of a friend who was admitted last Spring but failed one of the classes has to retake it and reapply this Fall and she knows a lady in the office who gave her this info.

I too have applied for the fall program now just playing the waiting game. I have all my classes out of the way. A&P I made an A, A&P II and Micro have a B and made a 70.7 on TEAS. Hoping this is enough to get me in the program. I am currently an LPN but have been out for 10 yrs and felt it was in my best interest to start all over. Good luck to everyone and can't wait to meet everyone.

Thanks for the reassuring words ladies! I'm a bit of a worrier though so I won't completely feel at ease until I have the letter in my hands, lol.

Me too. I have taken worry to a fine art level. ?

Has anyone had any changes in banner web? Anyone heard of previous semesters using that as a indication? Yes my nerves are shot!

I haven't heard that but now I want to check! Where would it be on there?

im in the same boat...taking micro this summer as well

How do you like micro in the summer? It's different from A&P, as in I don't know if I'm studying enough.. Or too little because there isn't a "flow" to follow. :( it's like here's 100 microbes memorize my shape, and function. I feel like I'm just learning a ton of facts. I preferred how in anatomy I could go over a flow (like the kidneys). I knew what questions to ask myself for studying. This class not so much!
