Cal State Northridge CSUN Accelerated BSN 2010

Published

Just wanted to get the momentum moving for CSUN's BSN program. I got my letter today confirming that my application is in. Already knew that since I hand delivered it ahead of schedule. Now only 4 months to go before I hear anything. How will I ever not lose my mind?

Apparently my relative has the epidemiology book (she took it at CSUN during Summer 2008) and she still has the book, so if you still wanna buy it, e-mail me at [email protected]. Although notes are usually enough to succeed in that class.

Thanks Sugarlips & Firefly199!!!

So, I may not need the book afterall. Good news!!! But, if I end up with a professor (other than Dr. Benjamin) who requires I have the book, I will need to purchase one.

This month is almost over. Yay!! :yeah:Does anyone know when interviews will take place?

I am anxiously waiting.

Specializes in Pediatrics.

Thanks Sugarlips!!!

I feel the same..... :banghead:

Look at the bright side... February has only 28 days instead of 30-31... less of a wait... But yes, I feel the same. What do you guys have your BA/BS in? Where did you take your prereqs?

Specializes in Pediatrics.

I have my BA in Theatre Arts (General not Acting). I've taken my pre-reqs mostly at Santa Monica College, plus West LA College and CSUN. Almost 1/2 of the students in my Epidemiology class at CSUN were part of the ABSN program, so it was great to learn about how they were feeling going through their last semester of the program. Most of them had great things say about it, though similar to other schools that I have heard, they are kind of disorganized.

I have my BS in Business Management . I've taken all my prereqs at a few different community colleges in the Bay Area. Firefly199, what do you have your BS in?

:)

I have a BS in Health Administration... and I took the prereqs at Pierce and Moorpark.

Hi all,

I have a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and I did all my prereqs at LACC. Waiting on pins and needles!

@ innatchka,

What other schools did you apply to?

I also applied to the ELMN at CSULA. I know I want to go the BSN/MSN route rather than ASN because I already have a bachelor's, but I haven't really decided between the two yet.

On the one hand, I'm pretty sure I want to eventually become an NP which would make CSULA ideal, but I wonder if getting a BSN through an accelerated program and working a few years before pursuing advanced training is a better idea.

Keeping my fingers crossed for an interview :)

I know this is still early, but anyone hear anything from the nursing department????
