CA RN License and TIN

Published

Hello everyone. I recently found out about a recruitment agency based in Makati that assists CA NCLEX-RN passers obtain a permanent license by using a tax identification number instead of the SSN. Sure enough I was able to find the names of said applicants in the CA BRN website as having a permanent license. My questions is: were they able to renew their license without being asked for the SSN again? Responses from those who actually went through this route will be greatly appreciated. Facts and actual experiences only please. No opinions.

FACT: You need a valid ss# in order to obtain a license in CA

FACT: It is FRAUD to use a TAX ID # in place of a ss#

FACT: It clearly states on the application that a valid ss# is needed,

nowhere does it state on the application valid ss# OR TAX ID#

FACT: There is a list on the CA BRN website you of peoples names who

either obtained their license by fraud or other things.

If you found the names of said people than most likely they put a TAX ID # (not necessarily their own) in place of a ss# and didn't let CA know it was a TAX ID#. If anybody wants to go that route and commit fraud, then they shouldn't complain if theY'RE caught and have to suffer the consequences.

I strongly discourage from doing that because in the end you will get caught and will suffer consequences. Your name will be red flagged, and it can prevent you from obtaining a license anywhere in the US.

Since you need no opinions, then call CA BON for you to know the real score. Good luck.
