CA NCLEX RN..Results,how long did you wait?

Hi to All in California,

I'm scheduled to take my test on Feb 23, 2010 and I would like to know how long did it take for you to receive your official pass/fail results? I read on ncsbn.org that one can obtain quick results in 48 hours, but from what I have heard in the past, CA does not participate in the quick results program...bummer. I have heard of the "trick" working for others, but I want a definite answer so I can get on with my life!

So, how long did you wait for your results to come and are they mailed to you?

Some people who test in CA receive their results in as little as two or three days, others wait for weeks. There is no predicting how fast your results will be available. Best wishes.

You can go to the California board of registered nurses website and click on the "verification of permanent license" tab. next enter your name, the state in which you took the test and the state for which you are seeking licensure. Do this after 2 full days after sitting the exam, so if you took it today (Tuesday) you would check this on Friday. If you passed your name will come up as a RN with your new license number.

These are obviously unofficial until you receive confirmation in the mail but worth doing to help get thru the Long wait.

I Took the NCLEX RN in CA on the same day:eek: I stopped at 75 questions... Still waiting, but let me tell you... its a big relief to know there are others in the same boat... I got a good feeling about it.... but I just want to know so I can make the next move!

Oh, wow! I was fortunate enough to get my results 3 days after testing and I received my license in the mail this week. Have you tried the "trick" yet? I would also try calling the CA BRN to see if your file is complete. Good luck

i am waiting for my results. I got my test in march 30. Its April 1 (its 5 am already) thats how eager I am to know if I pass.

hi guys...i took my nclex exam yesterday...and here.. waiting...

it's really hard waiting for the result too long

and only to find out you didnt make it....

but hopefully we all did pass...

i found the exam so bad..it's hard and those drag and drop..hot spots..sata's.meds...omg!!!

i really can't get over...

I took mine yesterday too.It was very hard I went up to 265 struggling!I had 20 more or less SATA,tons of prioritization,some delegations,2 meds calculations ,some peds,some infection control..When i try the pvt it went to cc page.I did not make it!Very frustating and disappointing..congrats who passed and Goodluck to all

I have a similar test as you describe. Have not yet fully recovered from yesterday ordeal and didn't have the nerve to look. But I dread that is back to the books for me too. I think if don't pass this time I will just review everything for months and do like 10000 questions before taking the next...

Hey guys, I took my exam on March 24th and still no results. I called BON and they said they haven't recieved my results from Pearson. Does that mean I failed? At this point, it's hopeless. I have been checking the brn website every morning and no name.

hi i took the exam april 19. stopped at 85. a lot of SATA's, meds, no calculations, and nothing of the heart/lung sounds questions they warned me about. i took the ca nclex. can i check the brn website? i don't have a social security number, as i am not from the states.. do you have to have an ssn to see your name in the brn website (license verification?)
