Published

Has anyone who graduated in December and in California received the results to their NCLEX yet? I havn't heard of anybody has; this is so frustrating...

Call the board today!!!!!!!

There may be something simple missing from your file and it needs to be fixed before you get results, ask them.

If you don't pass snail mail can take a month but 2 weeks is average.

Good luck!

Couple of my friends who took it a few weeks ago still haven't received their results yet. We all graduated in December. I took it yesterday and I have a feeling I'll be waiting for a while..... :o Stupid CA.....

Call board. Many times it depends on how fast your school submits your records. I received my results in two days. Also, sometimes when you call the board, they will give you hints on whether you passed. They are able to see the results if they are in. If not, they will tell you outright...we don't have the results yet. Hope this helps. Good luck.;)

We graduated in December but won't get our results until February. Our school is excruciatingly slow in getting our records to the board so, perhaps you are experiencing the same problem.

One of my friends said that she called the board and they were not helpful. She also said something about calling will slow the process down (as if it wasn't slow already)... I didn't know what that really meant but I've been hesitant to call.

Graduated in December with Liz, took NCLEX Jan 10 and no results. Someone who took the exam a week earlier from my class hasn't gotten his yet either. I don't understand the rationale behind our BRN's slow process. If the BRN decides I'm eligible to test, why make me wait for the results? I'm practicing right now with an interim permit, so what difference does it make if my file isn't complete? I'm jealous of everyone in states where you can get quick results within 24 hours.

So for now, I'm resigned to checking the BRN's website every day :(

I wanted to add that I had to call the board a few weeks ago because they made a mistake with my application (they screwed up my social security number!), and the first person I talked to was extremely rude and was giving me wrong information. I had to argue on the phone with her for 10 minutes before she finally decideded to transfer my call to someone who could actually fix my problem :angryfire

You should call your school and see if they submitted your final transcripts. Until the CA BON has them, they will not issue any completed NCLEX licenses. The CA BON can not give "hints". You can go online and check for your name.

Check under online license verification (permanent licenses). The earliest they publish is 3 business days after you pass the NCLEX IF your application is COMPLETE (transcripts in, fingerprints OK, fees paid, etc.). It can take 1 to 4 weeks via snail mail.

(P.S. I had a colleague who had passed the NCLEX, but had not heard for 10 days. She called them and found out they could not read her fingerprints. So she had to resend a new set. Then they notified her that she passed.)

Good luck!

I also had a friend that the DOJ just "forgot" to clear with the Ca BRN. She waited for weeks before calling the board and when she finally did they cleared her with the DOJ that day. Also, if you have an IP and fail NCLEX they revoke it. If you tested Jan 10 and failed your IP would no longer be valid. Go to the BRN site and check! Good luck!!!!!!!!!
