No problem, that's still a very fast time to get the eligibility so quickly.

They must have had the declaration forms ahead of time and been denied by the CA BRN to get documentations reviewed and approved in such a short time in light of the other posters who have a much longer wait time. Good for them!

hi guys! i just emailed my application for lvn last jan. 16,2014, but i didnt include the proof of 12th grade education or ged cert. because i dont have it. but i included my BSN diploma and T.O.R., Is that okay? and also i saw in the bvnpt site that the processing would be 8-12 weeks... is that true? cuz' i read some of the comments here that the bvnpt replied to them for atleast 8-10 months... i need to know how long i will wait so that i can plan something to do in that peroid of time... if its 8-12weeks, i'll start reviewing, but if it's 8-10 months, maybe i'll start to work first

You should wait till the BVNPT replies back to you or else, sending the missing documents could end up going into a separate file and may not meet and further delaying your application.

In the meantime, it would be to your best interest to get a copy of 12th grade education or GED certificate during this time, if they ask and you don't have it, your application could be considered incomplete and it will just sit there until it's considered "abandoned" as they figured you decided to just not go thru the application process. With thousands of other interested applicants, they will not wait for you.

The time period of the 8-10 weeks processing is more applicable to those applicants that are from the USA as it's easier to verify the transcripts from the CA and other US schools.

It does seem on average the approval times for foreign applications went from 6 months to 7, now approaching 9-10 months, I would not be surprised if it goes to 12 months or more.

With the added denied applications from the CA BRN with international new grads trying to get in then add in the soon to graduate of the CA students and other US schools in May, 2014 to June, 2014, that doesn't include the recent CA grads just a month ago (Dec. 2013), the BVNPT will be more put behind if they don't clear the CA and US grads first.

I'm sure the priority is to the local residents first, but also because they want to get those applicants first as many might have jobs pending the outcome of the NCLEX as some have been hired even before graduation or have already interviewed and will start their orientation within a few weeks to months.

You should start reviewing anyways and make like you only have a few weeks.

hello! I'm a foreign grad too from Phil. I submitted my application for lvn in cali last year around sept. until now I haven't receive any response or information from the bvnpt..

Ok, let's see...Sept, Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan., okay, give it another 4 more months, maybe 5 or 6 months and you did mail it thru certified mail with the green Return Receipt card so that way, you know it's been received and not lost in the mail.

I was just joking lightly on the time frame, but you never know, as Irah0526 stated he read that in another forum, some got actual eligibility within 2-3 months.

Still waiting on mine..

In my case, processing time took 10 months. Then, 2 weeks after I submitted my declaration, I receive my ATT.

The analyst emailed me this (below) why they do declaration form;

We are trying to do those who only need a Declaration when they come in since it’s not in the packet. We were having some problems with a few schools indicating it was all “in” school but really, it was all internet. So now, applicants must sign and not the school that it’s in school and not distance learning.

I think I read someone posted here that you can request a declaration form ahead of time, which will really really help hasten your application.

Wow that's good. Any idea on how we can ask the declaration form ahead of time?
