HI everyone! I would like to make a thread for those who applied and are applying for LVN here in California with the permission to the ADMIN, the timeline of LVN application from submitting/mailing the application to receiving the eligibility. Thank you
Date Submitted: November 21, 2013 and still WAITING.
So that means they are processing faster than the past few months to years... :) did u ask the BON to transfer your docs to bvnpt? Or you did a separate application?
Hi. I haven't applied in CA BON because I'm pretty much aware of the concurrency issue. I'm an RN in Nevada though.. I did separate application for LVN and didn't transfer any info from state BON to BVNPT... How is your application going?

Hi so I pretty much did the same thing. I didn't apply for the RN cause I knew the concurrency would hit me. So I just applied for the lvn. Submitted my application aug 18, 2014. The bvnpt received it aug 20. And my check was cashed aug 26. Unlike with what I have read from older posts their check was cashed after a month of waiting. So I am really hopeful that they are processing applications faster now. Like with your declaration u got it in a month. Older posts from years ago got theirs after 8 to 12 months of long wait. :)
Hi. I called bvnpt. They said they are processing papers received from july14... I sent my declaration form aug14... he said I still have to wait 3 to 4 weeks.. ***! I called thrm ladt 2 weeks and said to wait 3 to 4 weeks...
Thanks for the quick reply... so are they having backlogs again? Huhuhu

It's possible that they are processing the CA nursing students that recently graduated ahead (June 2014) of the international applicants since there are some that may have job offers pending, plus the fact that it takes longer to review transcripts from the outside.
But it was mentioned that they do take each application as they come in, so with the recent influx of newly graduated CA students and with limited staffing to go thru each application, it's to be expected.
I think once the onslaught of the CA students have been processed you can see faster answers.
