I had already registered online in Pearson Vue but I think I'm not yet eligible to take the test. Is there an expiration date for my registration at PV?
I received a letter from CA BON requesting for new requirements such as:
Fortunately, I had the first 2 requirements but I am worried that the last 3 will take time to be accomplished.
I am wondering if it's just me who have this requirement. Most of NCLEX passers I know weren't required on those listed above. It's really hard to focus on review while your thinking of this
Yes, I recently just graduated April 2014. They have yet to send an application. So I'm not sure if them having 5 cases will make a difference, unless it's all concurrent.
What was the requirement from your school? Say if you had to take the PNLE?
You may be the first to test the CA BRN waters then.

Our requirement was just 3 major, 3 minor, 3 delivery, 3 cord care. And that was about it. But they are concurrent so no problem with that. However, I didn't take the PNLE because I can only stay in the Philippines for 6 months and April was my 6th month, also I'm pregnant at the moment, so would that be an issue or a letter would just be okay to give to the evaluator.

CA BRN does need to verify your nursing license from the same country that one obtains their BSN degree.
It is a requirement. However, if you're a US or dual citizen, you can write a short letter of that fact and why you couldn't take the PNLE and the reason of not having a PH nursing license.
They are currently accepting that explanation for now but there could come a day when the CA BRN will need to verify one's local country's nursing license and no more excuses will be accepted.
If however, you're only of PH citizenship, you must present them with the nursing license.
CA also requires your SS# (effective April 2010) or they will simply decline the application and you don't get back any refunds.
Anyone here still having the same problems with their application for NCLEX-RN?i need to know if this is still the same problem of this year 2014. Or is it only some schools in the Philippines that doesnt recognize by CA BRN?.
Anyone who graduated at Pines City Colleges Baguio City. Who had the same problem in providing such list of cases OR-DR.
Let me know please.
Thank you guys..

Doesn't matter on which school you went to but that your clinical and theory was done close together as mentioned above
Okay i get it. The reason there now is they require us all to have 5 cases each. I will try mine coz i have all the requirements. Plus my RN-license in the Phil. Thank you all...
Having a Philippine license doesn't really matter as CA are being strict regardless but you are not loosing anything by trying as you may get through if you think your clinical and theory hours will meet their requirements
okay, so here's my story.
I graduated in the Philippines in 2008. I took VT exam in 2009 and passed. I avoided taking CA RN due to SSN issues. My immigrant visa to come to the US has been approved and I will be moving to California this year. Am I affected with this concurrency issues if I'm going to apply for reciprocity (vt-ca)? I did have 5-5-5 cases by the time I graduated in 2008.

But did you have your cases done at the same time as your theory? We have seen many post that they was denied when endorsing. The risk of applying is up to you but be prepared you may or maynot get denied
I just graduated last March 2014 and came here few weeks ago. I have completed all those 5-5-5-5-5- and everything cases. Am I eligible for CA exam? I did not take the PNLE exam last March
Are you a US citizen, dual or of PH citizenship? CA BRN does require along with the valid work authorized SS# and a copy of your PH local nursing license as some of the basic required documentation, whether for first-time applicants or via endorsement.
The only way one can tell if you're going to be eligible with the CA BRN is to submit your application with the non-refundable application fees. They will have the final decision so it doesn't matter what's said here.
The one answer might be did you take ALL your theory and clinical in the exact same time together, NOT one week, not one month, not 1-2 years before or after the courses began or ended?
It only takes one mistake when if dates don't match up date day by date day or you'll be found not meeting the concurrency rules. That's why the CA BRN is strict on getting some documentations later after the first submission, this is to lessen the chance of the fraudulent paperwork being sent in, so well known amongst the CA BRN evaluators.
