"If you are a foreign grad nurse who completed their requirements, currently in the USA and has a sponsor go ahead dont let it deter you. You can file your I-140 and I-485 concurrently bypassing the labor cert and will receive your EAD (employment authorization document) first so you can start working already while waiting for the green card. You have a good chance of getting the EAD, but the green card now that is a different question. They have to process first those that have an earlier priority date before you".
Can i get EAD easily? is it enougt to start working in us?
Thank you in advance
Thank you for the valuable information.I read in this thread that, sometimes the facility that petitioned on your behalf can drop you while still in the process ... now that sounds scarrry to even consider petitioning.
But then, someone once said, "Anything great in life, involves some risk ..."
Which route in your opinion is wiser to take to obtain a visa to work legally and eventually get GC in the United States? EB3 one, or Finish ur Masters and get hired way? If you can, please give your reasons ...
And also, Are there any special courses that are only for 6 months or 1 year that BSN Rn's can take to specialise themselves in specifically some skills that will allow and enable them to stand out from the crowd? Anybody know of any such programs? Any input will be highly appreciated.
Thank you again.
P.S. If someone is thinking for going for their MSN, right way is: Take GRE or GMAT or is there any other tests that I'm not aware of that needs to be taken? But MSN programs seems to be excruciatingly expensive for poor foreign student : (
And, how can one find the not for profit hospitals that will hire F1 BSN RN? Anybody knowledgeble about this? Thank you for taking out your time to read the post. If you have any information, please reply. Thank you again.
It does happen and so annoying. It happened to me in 2005 otherwise I would have been in the US a couple years ago. I had to start all over again with employer and PD
That is not very good of them SilverDragon. So, in that case if someone signed a contract with the agency, how do they compensate their employee, as it hurts the employee money/time wise in a big way ... As if it happened the other way, the employee has to pay back to the agency etc ... Not fair at all.
