Hi and thanks for reading,
I'm wondering if I purchase a stethoscope on ebay, will the warranty be honored by the manufacturer? I'm looking into a Littmann; I like that they have a lifetime warranty, but not sure how it ties to buying from a person vs. a store.
Thanks!

I have bought many things from ebay, and havne't had a problem!! I didn't purchase a stethoscope but have bought shoes, scrubs, books, candles, electronics etc. and have had NO problems!! I would say buying a stethoscope wouldn't be a problem either!!
but warranty wise? would Littmann honor the warranty?

Why don't you find their 800 number, call them and ask? My concern is they may want to see a purchase receipt or perhaps the purchaser was required to register the product with them. I always forget to register products and sometimes you need to do that for the warranty to be good.

I generally think that a company that offers a lifetime warranty is not going to be so tied up into a paper receipt.
I personally love my Cardio 3 black edition and you can pry it out of my cold dead hands.

I bought mine from a "person" in person (a doctor in fact)and Littman has replaced several things for me, so my experience says yes. However I also think you should make sure it is indeed a Littman and not a knockoff. Hopefully the one you buy it from can furnish some proof before you pay for it?
