Burlington County College Fall 2011 Nursing Program..acceptance letter yet??

Hi! I applied for the fall 2011 Nursing Program at Burlington County College and was just wondering if anyone else on here is waiting to hear if they got in. I've finished all of my pre-req's with honors and live in county but I know it's a matter of who gets their applications in first so I'm still really nervous :uhoh3:! Just looking to see if anyone else on here is in the same boat being I know I can't be the only one! Hoping to get a letter soon! :)

I am also waiting. I just transferred to BCC from the Univ. of Alaska Fairbanks. I am still working on a few pre-req's, BCC requires two more classes then UAF did. I really want to start Spring 2012 but I will take what I can get!!!!!

Anybody know what the schedules look like? (Spring & Fall)

Hi! Did you just move here from Alaska? That is a HUGE move and life change! Best of luck to you! I've heard the Fall program schedule is Mon-Wed with morning's in lectures by 8am, Thursday is a clinical day and Friday is for weekly exams. That might not be accurate but that is what I have heard. The spring is night classes which wasn't an option for me so I don't know specifics on that schedule. What two classes does BCC require that you didn't have? Just curious what might be different in pre-req's. Did you apply for this coming fall's program or are you aiming for spring 2012? Good luck with everything and welcome to NJ!

Thank you for the welcome!!! I am enjoying my time here in Jersey :) UAF didn't require Math 107 or higher (as long as you passed hs algebra), Nutrition, or a computer course. So I guess that makes 3 classes.

I did apply for the fall just in case they accept me, but I am aiming for the Spring only because I have school aged children and I drive them out to Trenton everyday. But of course if by chance I am accepted in the Fall I will make it happen!!!! Is this your first time applying? Do you have any friend in the program?

Hello all!

I also applied for Fall 2011. I got waitlisted for Spring 2011, and I also registered for the summer 1 medication course. I am very excited to see what happens. I got a phone call about them supposedly losing my test results, which they later found. So I am taking that as a good sign that they are at least considering me for the program. I hope that everyone hears back soon. Good luck to all and hope to see you in class either in summer or September!

Hi! I with you the best of luck! I took the computer course but thought after I finished it they changed it and it wasn't required anymore...or am I just confused? lol! I did take it myself so either way I'm covered but thought it changed. I wish statistics wasn't required!! I did well in it but it wasn't my favorite course. I'm married and have a daughter myself but she goes to school in our town so my schedule is more flexible as far as that is concerned. Depending on where you live in Burlington County driving to Trenton is a hike!! Wow! I have one friend that I had two classes with and she finished up her pre-req's in the fall like I did so we're both waiting to hear! It would be great to be in the program with her, even if not in the same classes it would be nice to have a study buddy and someone to talk to about it. We're both very determined to do well so we're good study buddies that way! Well when you hear from BCC about the fall be sure to let me know, good luck!!! I haven't gotten anything yet...the wait is killing me! lol!

Hi!! Good luck!! How long ago did they call you? Any chance they happen to give a hint as to when letters might go out? lol!! A friend, who is also waiting told me and I saw posted on here that in previous years people waiting to hear about the fall program started getting letters mid-February so I was hoping we would too...obviously not though! lol!! The wait is killing both myself and my friend for sure! I was texting her at work everyday when I checked my mail but stopped because it was depressing to type "nothing today" every single day! lol!!

Have you finished all of your pre-req's now? I did so I'm hoping I make the cut! I'm taking the 9am-12pm medication course in Summer I, which one did you register for? Would be nice to know a few people beforehand, if I get in that is!

If you get anything in the mail or hear from them again let us all know!! Until then I will be with my dog staring out my front window waiting for the mail man everyday!! lol!! :paw::)

I'm also taking the med course summer 1 at 9! I've heard a few people say that if you check "your profile" on web adviser your major changes to nursing if you have been accepted before they send the letters out. I've been checking every day but nothing yet!

It was about two-three weeks ago that they called me. I've been checking everyday too, and I've also gotten to the point where I stopped. (most of it is just junk or bills anyway, nothing I really want) I am taking the 6-9 pm medication course because I work full time during the day currently, but I'm trying to get out of there and get my foot in the door somewhere. I have also been checking web advisor, but all it says is "Health Sciences". The day that it changes to nursing I'll be here letting you guys know!!

Hey! I'm also going to be in the 6-9 summer 1 medication class!! And in my web advisor, "health sciences" just appeared under active programs. I was originally enrolled in biology, so seeing the health sciences thing was a surprise. I've been stalking the mailbox every day! I hope we all hear something soon!!

Hey guys it won't change to nursing until the semester you start. I was accepted for spring 2011 back in October but webadvisor didn't change but until january. You could call the school and ask when they are sending out acceptance letters. Good luck!

About the computer class: So after reading your post I wanted to double triple check myself. So I went in to talk with an adviser and she said "yeah the computer class is not required anymore, but we haven't had time to change every students evaluation"!!!!! Are you kidding me???? So I wasted money and time, then she asked if I wanted to drop it lol

Also when I registered in Jan someone in the transcript office said that my 300 level Ethics class would count for PHI 205, they told me I didnt need to take PHI 100 so I dropped it!!! So now I guess I will be taking that in the summer. I feel like nobody at BCC is on the same page. I was in tears when I left.
