Burlington County College BCC 2012 Spring Nursing Program

Published

Greetings,

I am currently enrolled at BCC full time and will be finishing the last of my prerequisites this summer. I have applied to the nursing program for Spring 2012 and I know not to expect information for quite some time. I have a 3.92 GPA and received a score of 71.3% on the TEAS V test.

Once I am accepted into the nursing program the only classes I have left to take are the following: BIO 155/156 (Micro, Lab), NUR 119, NUR 120, NUR 214, NUR 215, NUR 216. I have already taken the medication administration class successfully also.

I am looking for advice/answers from fellow students going through the process. I have a few questions/concerns.

  • Will completion of my final prerequisite class this Summer be finished in time for the acceptance process?
  • What is the schedule like? I know to be available from 4P-12A M-F for classes, but that seems vague.
  • Can you double up on any nursing classes during a semester? (Registration-wise)
  • Are any nursing classes available during intersessions or summer semesters?
  • Any other advice/comments :)

Thank you very much! :nurse:

Hey guys,

Is anyone getting ready to take the TEAS exam? Here's what I found out to be very helpful. Don't wait till last minute to take the TEAS exam, do it when you've at least done most of your pr-requisites unless you've taken some biology. There's a book that's very helpful for the science part and that's essential biology by Campbell. 2nd or even 3rd edition. And the study guide from the ATITESTING.COM - I used the book and online assessment. I did very well on the science and math part but the English part was my downfall. Other than that am taking my last pre-requisite ( Microbiology lab) and will apply this October. Good luck guys!!

where are the letters at!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???!!!

Ugh I know the anticipation is killing me!! Hopefully this week!!

well you were right...last years ppl got them on sep 30th so thats 5 days from now...i seriously can't wait anymore!!!

@ Melodyg - 5 days seems so long! I am currently enrolled at BCC but had the opportunity to apply to Frankford Hospital in Philly so am waiting to hear from them sometime this week. Good luck to you!

Any word yet????

no....try calling the admissions dept see if they sent the letters out yet.

I just called Kim who handles the nursing admissions. She said she hopes to have them out by next week, and as we all know NLT October 15th

so she plans on mailing them next week, or we should have them next week ugh....i wanna know now lol

I know I want to know really bad also. The way I understood her is that at the earliest they will be here next week.

Hey guys I'm in my second semester at BCC and as long as you had all of your prereqs and coreqs done by this past Summmer 2 session and had everything in on time, and live in county you should be accepted. Good luck, I know how stressful it is until you get that acceptance letter!
