I am currently enrolled at BCC full time and will be finishing the last of my prerequisites this summer. I have applied to the nursing program for Spring 2012 and I know not to expect information for quite some time. I have a 3.92 GPA and received a score of 71.3% on the TEAS V test.
Once I am accepted into the nursing program the only classes I have left to take are the following: BIO 155/156 (Micro, Lab), NUR 119, NUR 120, NUR 214, NUR 215, NUR 216. I have already taken the medication administration class successfully also.
I am looking for advice/answers from fellow students going through the process. I have a few questions/concerns.
Will completion of my final prerequisite class this Summer be finished in time for the acceptance process?
What is the schedule like? I know to be available from 4P-12A M-F for classes, but that seems vague.
Can you double up on any nursing classes during a semester? (Registration-wise)
Are any nursing classes available during intersessions or summer semesters?
Oh that sucks. The 20th of Sept? It seems like it will be longer than that seeing as it is the 17th now and she said she was willing to give me until the end of next week to get that stuff to her...she is prob waiting on other ppl too?
lol me neither...im just nervous that i wont get in bc im in micro and ap2...but i have no idea why she would have called me about my high school sciences if they are just going to deny me anyway...im anxious to know and i hope i get in regardless....did u say you were done with everything??
I am re-taking A&P 2 lab and micro lab. I am praying to get in too :chair: I transferred to BCC from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, because my husband is in the army and was re-assigned here. I will be graduating in Dec so at least I have something concrete lol. I received a denial for fall based soley on my HS Bio: my letter said if I completed them to inform the lady up in admissions, I never received a call so I am keeping my fingers crossed!!!

No havent applied anywhere else...and this is my first time applying, I didn't bother before because i NEED the nighttime program. My husband is active duty and i have two little ones that i need to care for. What days and times do you take aandp2 and micro lab, maybe we are in class together cause i am in both of those right now.
I wish we were more centrally located; my kids go to school in Hamilton.. Yes I do need micro lab, I took a X in lab over the summer, and by the day of our final all sections for fall were filled. I will look into taking it next summer :)

No worries....I did see the letters went out around the 20th:yeah: I can't wait any longer!!!! Hopefully we will be classmates!!!
