Bunker Hill Community College Nursing 2016

Anyone here applying for the Bunker Hill Nursing program for January 2016? Have you taken your TEAS yet? If not, where are you planning to take them? The department chair told me that the next time they are offering them at Bunker Hill is in October and the application cycle for January 2016 ends in September. Is that too late to take the TEAS?

I'm debating on taking it at another school so I get it out of the way and BHCC has my scores on time. How does Bunker Hill get the scores if we take it at another school? Anyone know the process?

Did anyone order their books yet?! I just looked them all up on amazon and its so expensive. Let me know if you find anything cheaper!

I got the drug book and medical dictionary on ebay for cheap. i think the ATI book has to be through the bookstore. i couldnt find anywhere else. i saw the Coursepoint on amazon for like 40 bucks cheaper than bookstore.

Just got them all off of Amazon except the ati book for around 350. Adding in the cost of the ati book from the bookstore that cost goes to around 500. That's not too bad considering all the books from the bookstore totals around 1000

Hi SMJ817,

What was the weekly set -up of the hybrid program and when did the clinical end each semester?

I am looking to do the "alternative" program which is the new option in place, but wanted to know what each week looked like as I would have to do a lot of travelling to get there. Were you in class one day and clinical one day? And the rest was online?

Ande22 - What term are you applying for? I'm applying for the Jan. 2017 Alternative program! I got into BHCC evening program Jan. 2015 but ended up not going due to work conflicts and I expected to get a scholarship somewhere else.

I don't know too much about the alternative program but I'm hoping it is manageable. I am a bit worried about having to study and learn so much on my own, but fingers crossed clinicals will help with that.

Hi, I had applied to the Fall 2016 but unfortunately did not get accepted, I passed everything in the Teas test except for one section. I am going to apply again for the Spring 2017 Day shift.
