Just wondering if there was anyone out there that is applying to the Bunker Hill Community College Nursing Program this year. I'm hopefully applying in the next application cycle after this semester of Micro, Drug Calc, and a Philosophy class. I'm looking into the night/weekend courses. Current GPA of 3.2.
Hey!Thank you for responding. Yes, I've already taken my TEAS. I took them at NSCC: Reading 76.9% Math 66.7% Science 64.6% English and Language 70%. I believe BHCC requires 47.6% in Reading, 46.7% in Math, 37.5% in Science. My math score isn't high enough to apply to the NSCC program they require a 74%. Do you know if they take TEAS scores taken at another college? They also do not state a minimum GPA for admission into program, do you know if there is a minimum GPA? I've gotten A's and B's in my math and sciences and after this semester I will have completed all Pre and Co reqs for the program.
I work and I'm also a mother of 3 so I'm looking for an idea of what days/times I'll be in class and at clinicals.
How do you like the program? Professors? Anything you did/didn't like about the program? Anything you would recommend to future students?
I'm sure you know this already, but BHCC doesn't accept TEAS scores taken elsewhere, you have to take them at BHCC. As for GPA, they look at your pre-req grades and TEAS score and whether you've completed your co-reqs (as a tie-breaker).
Hmm, I must've gotten bad info, then. I just called admissions and they confirmed what you said. At the info session that I went to, however, it was made clear, about 4 times, that they do not accept TEAS scores from elsewhere. Sorry for my mistake, my intention was to help and not to mislead. It's been my experience with BHCC that information sometimes gets jumbled. The other parts about how different components are weighted are true, I double checked that with admissions.

That's not a problem! BHCC can be a little misleading at times which is why I ended up just going with LM/RC. I just feel a lot more comfortable and confident with their whole process.

Do you have to take the teas? I just got my letter saying they received everything and that was the next step
