any BSN programs without science prereqs?

Do these exist, or is it just wishful thinking?;)

BSN is Bachelor of SCIENCE in nursing. . . .familiarizing yourself with biological sciences and chemistry is necessary in order to understand the pathologies and correlating physiology of the human body that you learn in nursing school. The science prereqs are a minimum of what you need to be able to understand the science that is presented in nursing school --- must have the foundation.

I seriously doubt it! I've been researching school's all around the country, and have yet to come upon a school who doesn't require a science related prerequisite. It makes sense if you think about it; admission criteria is based upon how well you did/will do in science/nursing oriented classes.

I could be totally wrong, but as ubiquitous the posts pertaining to prereq's are it seems very unlikely.

BSN programs are four year programs and do not usually have any pre-reqs. They were originally designed for those going into school directly out of High School and having all of their required courses doing the four years.

Any RN program is going to have science courses, you need to understand the human body and how it functions. Some programs may require a higher level for some of the courses, but all in all. No BSN program will not have science classes. What about Anatomy and Physiology for a start? And some programs even have a cadaver lab.

I believe that I have heard of programs that accept you when you first start college. You begin to take your nursing classes concurrently with your biology classes--- basically a 4.5 year nursing school. Must be very rare!
