BSN to DNP: UF Fall 2011

Anyone else applying?

I'll be taking my CCRN and GRE at the end of this year, and then applying for the Acute Care Track. I know it's going to be difficult with studying for both, but I know I can do it.

Anyone a current student in this program? I live in the Tampa area and if/when I'm accepted, will be doing the web-based program. Can't wait:)

I thought so. I could definantly tell. You have great attention to detail and that will be a strenghth for you in nursing school.

Just discovered this thread during a period of insomnia. I'm starting the Acute Track this Fall 2011. I'm an ER nurse from St. Pete so I will be doing the distance-learning program. Any other Acute Care folks out there?

Hello, I will be applying sometime soon. For those of you who petitioned, did you have to do anything special as in write a statement of why they should still consider you even though you do not have a 500 on each GRE section? Thanks!

Hey those starting this fall in jacksonville, Any one know- do we also have to go to gainsville on the 15th for orintation or will there be an orintation at shands? Look forward to meeting everyone-

We are all meeting in Gainesville for orientation. Seems silly since we have all of our classes in Jacksonville.

Hi everyone... I just came across this thread today as I am planning to apply for the BSN-DNP program for Fall 2012. I am currently working on my BSN and graduate in May. Ive heard amazing things about UF and have always wanted to be a gator but I hear that it's a bit competitive.

By the looks of it, UF doesnt seem to care TOO much about the GRE since a lot of you who got accepted petitioned it. But how were your GPAs like? My program is so tough I currently have a 3.2 gpa right now and I am soooo scared I wont get accepted. Im planning to study for my GRE starting now so it can make up for it. Is the GRE really hard? Do I even have a chance getting in with that GPA? Ive previously applied to UF to get into the BSN program when my gpa was about 3.3 but I was denied...

What do you guys think?
