  1. My background is vaguely similar. :) Nursing is a second career.
  2. Yippee!!!! ....and finally, manilla envelope and letter in hand!
  3. Thanks court. BTW, I believe you need 15 posts on allnurses before you can send PMs.
  4. Congratulations!!!! Man, this thread needed some positive news! Bring on some more...:) I have nothing to report...lol. ETA: For all of us waiting, care to share how the letter came? Was it in a big envelope? Small? Did it come w/ financial aid info?
  5. I wouldn't give up quite yet....we have tomorrow and Monday. Hoping for good news! :)
  6. Okay, so I seriously have NO idea why this is taking so long (I didn't receive anything from UF today either), however , I did receive a card in the mail from "The Continuum, a provident community for University of Florida graduate students". Anyone else???? On the front of the card, it indicates, "Congratulations on being accepted to the University of Florida." They better not be playing with me.... Umm....but, seriously.....I'm getting a little aggravated....lol. I have finals to study for; I was hoping to put this behind me today, so that I could actually focus on something else.
  7. Just got the mail - NOTHING.
  8. Nada, courtj5! Good to know, nurseyjess! Thanks!
  9. Hopefully we'll all find out...........tomorrow....lol. This wait is driving me a bit insane -hence my trying to find out something through ISIS.
  10. Very Cool. :) Are you taking that as a positive or negative sign? ...or no sign? Did your account also indicate a "Hold" because you hadn't completed immunizations/enrollment acknowledgment? Had you been able to see this info before or is this a recent thing? No, I didn't petition. I performed pretty decently on the GRE.
  11. I checked my mail already today and I haven't received anything from UF, HOWEVER considering this is the last week of April and all....lol, I decided to check out ISIS to see if I could access anything that would put a positive spin on my application. I am a former UF student...(first degree, not my BSN)......so I can't say you would be able to do this if you aren't a former student...but I was able to view financial aid information for Fall, which predicted cost of attendance from 8/23/2011 to 5/ 2/2012, while breaking down the 3 types of loans I qualify for. At the bottom of the page, I was given choices to not accept the award for Fall, not accept funds for Spring 2012 or not accept any funds as I wouldn't attend UF at all. ISIS allowed me to view courses in the Nursing program for Fall, but it indicated that I couldn't register because I had a hold on my record as I had not yet completed the immunization requirement/had not yet completed an enrollment acknowledgment. :) When I clicked on summer 2011, the system indicated it had no record of me for summer.....but it did for Fall.....yippee! I don't want to get TOO TOO excited....but I guess I can't help it....lol. Here's hoping all of this means something wonderful.
  12. No news here......yesterday or today.
  13. Nothing here. I'll try to remember to post if I hear anything positive :); I applied for one of the MSN programs.
  14. Would either or both of you share how you found out you were taken off the wait list? Were you informed by phone call, email or letter? Thank you kindly.
